Summary position:

Duties of this Regional Energy Buyer position include, but are note limited to, the identification and relationship maintenance of viable energy suppliers, actively researching and effectively leveraging market intelligence for strategy creation and client benefit, initiation and management of the RFP (Request for Proposal) process for designated geographic portfolio of client sites, and negotiating with suppliers.

What do you get to do in this position?

· Learn energy industry.

· Acquire and maintain expertise in specified natural gas and electric power markets.

· Initiate needed RFP processes for clients

· Assist in investigating, identifying, and providing impact assessments of pertinent market information.

· Perform Excel-based analysis of supplier bids to determine appropriate pricing products for clients.

· Participate in negotiations for supply terms and prices with supplier base.

· Draft recommendations to clients.

· Implement client-approved energy strategies.

· Micro commodity research (utility switch rules, etc).

· Maintain historical pricing for assigned geographic areas.

· Other duties as assigned.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· 1-4 years procurement experience preferred; energy procurement experience in either gas or electricity, or equivalent professional experience in procuring a relatively volatile good or commodity a plus.
· Must be able to identify, analyze and comprehend information from numerous sources, and communicate pertinent information to the appropriate parties.
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
· Proficient in computer technology especially Microsoft Office Products.
· Provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
· Work well on teams, within and outside of function.
· High commitment to company vision and values.
