Job Title - Mechanical Engineering Coop

We are currently seeking a mechanical engineering support co-op student to join the Engineering team within the Commercial and Residential division of Schneider Electric Solar. As a member of the engineering team your position will involve multiple disciplines in a design environment.

The candidate will gain exposure to the exciting field of solar energy involving high power electronics, electro-mechanical product design, international manufacturing and product testing in our high-power lab facility. The position will primarily be responsible for CAD modelling and drawings, production documentation, engineering change orders, and mechanical testing for utility scale photovoltaic (PV) inverters. Your job will cover areas of:

Component Engineering:

· Create technical specifications
· Recommend components (Electrical and Mechanical)
· Manage Engineering Change Orders

Systems Engineering:

· Requirements analysis
· System/Functional tests
· Issue management
· System design documentation
· Testing under laboratory conditions

Mechanical Engineering:

· Create and modify mechanical designs and drawings
· Interact with a team of engineers on a variety of PV products
