Mission:
Challenge Performance Across all the Commercial Canada Operations
Identify & quantify potential stakes existing on NAM performance:
Lead: optimization of process flow, margin improvement and SFC efficiency through leading and coaching lean diagnosis on the end to end front office processes
Support: Safety (zero accidents ...), CS&Q (process robustness), Front Office (LTIP), HR (Competencies …)
Collaborate to create shared improvement roadmap with Front Office departments to achieve the targets
Participate to the decision-making process for all investments (capacity, kaizen, …)
Challenge & support the entities to co-deliver targets: lead-time, efficiency & internal process capacity …
Deliver Innovative Breakthroughs
Capture precisely the needs and participate in the search for solution
Lead proof of concept projects before proceeding to validation for deployment
Anticipate new technologies & methodologies & their associated skill requirements - Digitize / automate where possible
Standardize and Deploy for Exemplary Results
Support the animation of Lean Office at entity level to become part of their DNA
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Lean Office
Design, evolve, deploy & manage standards, methodologies and tools through leveraging the network of Lean Champions
Train & Coach for Sustainability
Manage the competency referential for Front Office Management, Methods & Performance functions
Co-assess current competencies vs referential to identify gaps and support local action plan creation
Transfer the necessary skills through "training while doing" to grow and sustain competencies
Contribute to build an efficient training offer & where necessary deliver the training ensuring a consistently high level of knowledge transfer
Detailed Activities:
Lead, Coach and Support Lean Diagnosis from an End-to-End point of view (to eliminate waste, improve process flow and eliminate duplication)
Coach Lean Expert/Lean Leaders and entity management team to define the yearly improvement roadmap for the site
Support Lean Expert/Lean Leaders in the decision-making process for the investments in his/her own domain of expertise
Support the entities to deliver the expected results to eliminate waste, improve process flow and eliminate duplication
Identify the needs for breakthroughs in the functions by partnering closely with the entity's teams and network of SMR/SME
Provide information about new tools and technologies in order to create real breakthroughs in the entities
Lead the implementation of pilots / proofs of concept of new technologies/solutions/methodologies
Benchmark with other regions, BU and external companies in order to identify new opportunities, technologies & methodologies
Manage the yearly innovation portfolio (GO, No-Go, Proof of concept)
Build and maintain the standard way to support the animation of Lean Office in the entities (people responsible for each domain, support, trainings via WebEx, etc.)
Coach LE/LL on the deployment of Lean Office standards and processes
Consolidate proposals for improvement to the Lean Office referential, validate and transfer to the Global SME
Capture Best Practices from entities and send them to the Global Lean Office
Validate Best Practices identified at the entities
Promote Best Practices at region level
Follow-up the deployment of Best Practices in the entities
Be part of the awarding process to recognize the "best Great"
Train the community of Lean Leaders/Lean Experts through the participation in workshops, kaizens, diagnostics and events
Contribute to enrich and keep updated the training offer, in relationship with Learning & Development team (creation of new eLearning's, etc.)
Deliver trainings in the field of expertise
Identify and train future Lean Champions
Leads one or more topics as Subject Matter Expert
Leads transversal projects, in cooperation with Lean Experts and specialists from other functions
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Requirement:
· Strongly experienced (10+ years) as manager in the field
· Strongly experienced (2 to 5 years) as Lean Expert, supporting entities, leading projects and diagnostics
· Language: English mandatory
· Travels to be considered 10% within Canada and twice a year in the US
