Schneider Electric Buildings Americas, Inc. is a provider of building automation and security solutions.

Energy Engineer: S/he will lead tasks associated with performing preliminary and detailed energy engineering studies of basic projects. S/he will perform energy-use baseline analysis, including utility rate simulations and weather normalization. S/he will generate baseline energy models and perform energy savings calculations. S/he will identify any risk associated with the savings projections. S/he will ensure savings projects are plausible and financial risk is identified. S/he will assist in defining project scope. S/he will perform field investigation as required. S/he will prepare technical audit reports and assist in sales presentations. S/he will coordinate and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met. S/he will manage, train, develop, counsel, and set individual goals for direct and indirect reports. S/he will interview and evaluate assigned personnel or make hiring and termination recommendations in accordance with company policies. S/he will manage the utilization of direct and indirect reports. S/he will provide reviews of baseline energy models, energy savings estimates, and utility cost savings estimates for basic projects. 20% travel to U.S. project sites. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive work experience in building systems and energy use OR a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3 years of work experience in building systems and energy use. Any suitable combination of education, experience or training is acceptable. Also, must have 3 years of work experience with: 1.) Performing energy-use baseline analysis, weather normalization, benchmarking analysis, utility rate simulations, and utility incentive research; 2.) Performing preliminary and detailed project development audits of performance contracting projects including field investigation, understanding of mechanical and other building systems, data logger deployment and analysis, identification of energy conservation measures, data coordination with other team members, and participating in post site visit planning meetings; 3.) Generating baseline energy models and perform energy savings calculations using hourly, whole building energy analysis/simulation programs; 4.) Performing stand-alone energy savings calculations for energy conservation measures that do not require whole building simulation; and 5.) Preparing technical audit reports / technical writing.
