Manufacturing Intern Summer 2020

The Oxford, OH plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Manufacturing Intern. You will be primarily accountable for implementing and/or refining continuous improvement processes and projects that directly affect the Oxford, OH business success.

What do you get to do in this position?

·
Collaborate with cross functional teams on projects and solutions dedicated to customer service and delivery.

·
Drive improvements through Industrial solutions in compliance with the Schneider Production System (SPS) lean principles and conform to safety standards

·
Design and develop layouts and methods to ensure the manufacturability of the product.

·
Research on the best available techniques to incorporate into the process, and calculate and improve manpower requirements and efficiency, methods, equipment and tools to optimize the manufacturability of products.

·
Lead or support Lean/Kaizen activities

·
Hands on support for implementation of new cell layouts

·
Perform elemental time studies and analyze for work balancing

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

Actively enrolled in a university/college degree program related to BSIE, BSME, BSEE, or equivalent

· 
Possess proven leadership qualities and ability to facilitate conflicts.

· 
Are self-motivated and self-directed with high sense of urgency.

· 
Have a solid work ethic - honors responsibility and commitment.

· 
Have strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· 
Possess proven ability to achieve results

Have exceptional leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, project management, and communication skills.

Have the ability to set overall priorities and form action plans to implement and monitor for results
