The Supervisor – Project Team reports to the Project Delivery Engineering Director and will manage systems and automation engineering activities in project execution and the System Integration team

Responsibilities

· Direct supervision of project management activities executed by the system integration team
· Participate in monthly project reviews
· Work closely with the Montreal engineering manager
· Collaborate with other departments and business units within the organization such as Proposal, Service, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, etc., in order to create synergy and ensure business continuity
· Prepare engineering estimates and support the development of proposals to customers
· Replace the engineering manager as required
· Manage certain projects executed by the System Integration team
· Direct supervision of some employees within the Montreal engineering group
· Manage the allocation of resources and the day-to-day operational aspects
· Participate in the hiring process of new employees
· Conduct employee performance management activities and resolve HR issues
· Assist in the development, monitoring and completion of training and development plans
· Ensure that the project deliverables meet the company's quality standards and contractual requirements
· Ensure that project documentation is complete, up-to-date and saved appropriately
· Effectively facilitate team and client meetings
· Develop relationships with clients / consultants that promote long-term business ties
· Suggest areas for improvement of internal processes as well as possible solutions

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Requirements:

·  OIQ Professional engineer
·  A minimum of 10 years of Automation experience
·  Knowledge of Schneider Electric products such as Foxboro, Modicon and Triconex is an asset
·  Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
·  Ability to plan and organize effectively and has strong decision making skills.
·  Effective communication and facilitation skills.
·  Experience with conflict management and resolution.
·  Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
·  General instructions will be provided, but is expected to perform independently.
·  Advanced Computer skills with MS Office (excel, word, power point) amongst others.
·  Bilingual French / English
