Engineering Trainee Program 2020 (Scheme “A” Graduate Training in Energy Discipline)

Our Engineering Trainee Program 2020 is designed to be a fast track program for Energy / Electrical / Building Service / Mechanical Engineering graduates to develop professional career in Energy Discipline . This 2-year rotational program will offer HKIE Scheme “A” Graduate Training, aiming to equip trainees with all necessary technical, managerial and professional skills and knowledge to be a professional engineer and further develop into future leaders of Schneider Electric. Successful completion of the program will help trainees to obtain the HKIE Corporate Membership in Energy discipline on the fast track as well as gain full understanding of Schneider Electric's local business and operations in different business units and functions.

Program Features

Job rotation with comprehensive training

During the 2-year program, the Engineering Trainees will receive a comprehensive training covering Product Knowledge, Engineering Practices, Design, Projects Management, Engineering Administration & Management through rotations across various business unit and functions that may include:

· Power & Building Solution
· Digital Energy & Smart Solution
· Secure Power Business
· Field Services Business
· Project Execution Center
· Offer Marketing & Strategy
· China & Macau Exposure

The Trainees will participate in key projects across the above core business units, develop technical solutions for clients, and manage engineering work. More importantly, the Trainees will appreciate the deployment of digital technologies in energy management, feeling the chemistry sparked by internet of things, cloud computing, Big Data, and cybersecurity etc.

Exposure to Key Business and Projects and Regional Cooperation Opportunities with China & Macau

Our Training does not only cover different business units but also different geographical locations. The Trainees can work and stay in China (a tier-one city) and Macau to learn the differences in markets, regulations, working environment, and business culture, and extend their interactions with colleagues in Greater China.

Exposure to an International Working Environment

Schneider Electric is a Fortune 500 energy management specialist with 137,000+ employees all over the world. Moreover, Hong Kong is one of our global hubs alongside Paris and Boston. Therefore, our Trainees will have opportunities to meet with our overseas colleagues visiting Hong Kong, learning their technical expertise, innovation projects, and even cultural differences.

Guidance and Support from Experienced Tutors

The program appoints experienced tutors, providing structured guidance and support along the program to facilitate the development for the Trainees.

Qualifications :

Who We Are Looking For?

·  Final year university students or recent graduates in Energy / Mechanical / Electrical / Building Service Engineering which the program must be eligible for HKIE Scheme “A” in Energy Discipline
·  Good team player with strong leadership potential
·  Good academic records
·  Strong technical foundation with commercial and strategic mind
·  Analytical, innovative, energetic, self-initiative and eager to learn
·  Embracing new technology and digital environment
·  Relevant internship is a plus but not a must
·  Proficient in both English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
·  Right of abode in Hong Kong
