As Infrastructure Solutions Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing IT infrastructure components to meet business and technical requirements. IT infrastructure may include systems, middleware, database, storage and/or network infrastructure.

Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems are secure and will be effectively integrated with current applications.

Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to Information Services (IS) regarding new technologies and system requirements.

The Infrastructure Solutions Design Engineer must have thorough knowledge of infrastructure, client/server environments, networking, enterprise storage solutions, mobile device management, operational monitoring tools and services, and software applications

What will your role ?
- Ability to transform business requirements to infrastructure requirements.
- Recommend alternative technologies or improvements to enhance information systems to support organizational goals. These recommendations are presented clearly and understandably to IM Management and validated against Airbus standards.
- Work with team to perform duties as a Solutions Engineer across varying platform types and a variety of vendor solutions.
- Infrastructure Solutions Design Engineer must create detailed plans for the integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure.
- Performs the same responsibilities as a Systems Engineer, as needed: maintain the highest level of expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of complex IT systems; to ensure overall data integrity and performance.
- Design and deployment of system security. Coordinate a wide variety of team projects, including proof of concept designs, analysis, evaluation and development of solutions
specifically tailored to the customer. Collaborate and communicate between all stakeholders to provide project updates. Some travel may be required.
- Perform high level and low level designs for LAN/WAN, compute virtualization, Storage, back up and Wireless networks as required to support business initiatives.
- Produce detailed documentation describing the solution design, including the technical implementation details, and cost estimates.
- Ensure adherence to current standards by collaborating with Enterprise Architect group and platform engineers.
- Ensure justification is sufficient to pass internal governance.
 -Document the details in a set of work orders to enable the solution to be built correctly the first time by fulfillment team.
- Perform consultancy engagements with application teams or business units to make recommendations on long term planning and help them to understand the direction of the IT organization
- Perform or assist in performing environment analyses where there have been issues with performance or availability

What are we looking for ? 

- Network /Virtualization/ Cloud Design certifications (CCNP, VCP, AWS)
- Experience working with complex enterprise designs and / or certifications on Virtualization infrastructure, SAN, Backup, Airwatch and VPN solutions.
- Ability to analyze WiFi requirements and design of various types of Mobile devices to connect to internal Wi-Fi networks and perform bandwidth assessments on internal and WAN links and forecast any latency issues.
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Management Information System, Business Management, or other relevant discipline; or, demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and successful experience.
