Job description



JOB SUMMARY

·  He/She will be a senior member of the ITS GRA Regulatory Policy, Planning, and Tracking team, play a leadership role to develop or contribute to develop GRA and ITS digital strategy and roadmap, define and document key business/functional requirements, and contribute to ITS GRA project/service portfolio management.
·  He/She will closely work with Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) business leaders and stakeholders to develop business cases and identify potential digital technologies that could support GRA business capabilities and their digital transformations, including, but not limited to, Regulatory Labeling/CMC, Regulatory Portfolio and Operational Planning, Ad Promo, and Regulatory Intelligence.
·  He/She will provide ITS business analysis leadership/expertise to support user requirement collection and functional specification analysis for ITS GRA programs/projects. He/She will also lead or contribute to ITS GRA service operation improvements to ensure business continuity and compliance in a highly regulated and dynamic environment. 
·  He/She will be responsible to lead ITS GRA BA Center of Expertise by setting standards, providing guidelines, ensuring continuous improvement practices for all BAs in ITS GRA team.
·  The position will report to the Leader of ITS GRA Regulatory Policy, Planning, and Tracking Service Line.

Knowledge And Skills:

·  Have in-depth domain knowledge about pharmaceutical industry, not only its standard cross-industry business process, data, and technology, but also recent business and technology trends to transform pharmaceutical industry.
·  Have an extensive experience in leading the business case development with strategic thinking and vision for digital era, particularly focusing on RA domain in 21st century (e.g. digital RA).
·  Have a solid understanding, in general, of information technology principles, its solution design, and its application to pharmaceutical industry, particularly to pharmaceutical R&D including Regulatory Affairs domain.
·  Demonstrate excellent knowledge of business process and data in pharmaceutical industry, particularly in pharmaceutical R&D including Regulatory Affairs domain.
·  Demonstrate excellent skills of business requirement gathering, analysis, and translation to technical specifications. Have extensive experience on technical solution identification and rationalization.
·  Demonstrate excellent adaptability to a changing and highly dynamic work environment
·  Have a strong ability to build relationships with business/IT stakeholders, lead or influence to decision making, and resolve conflicts with tact and diplomacy
·  Be able to communicate clearly and effectively as either a team leader or a team player. Fluent in English, both orally and in writing. Other language skills is a plus
·  Be able to work autonomously with necessary supervision to lead and get job done

Formal Education And Experience Required:

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific or technical disciplines. Advanced degree is preferred. Additional professional certificate is a plus
·  10+ years IT experience in pharmaceutical industry is required including extensive working experience in R&D area. Experience in Regulatory Affairs domain is strongly preferred.
·  Strong business analysis expertise, IT leadership, partnership with business leaders/stakeholders, and clear and effective communication skills must be demonstrated.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Lead business case developments and ensure that the business vision/strategy, process, data, value, potential ITS solution and constraints, BUILD and RUN costs, and risks and mitigations are accurately documented and properly analyzed. Lead or extensively contribute to user requirement collection/analysis, technical specification review, and feedback sessions to update and finalize technical specifications that reflect business requirements. Serve as a key liaison between business, ITS, and vendors during business case development, requirement gathering and analysis. Ensure traceability for GxP systems
·  As a senior ITS GRA team member, ensure the global end-to-end consistency of the ITS GRA services. Work as an adviser/leader/key contributor over the different phases of services life cycle: scope, analysis, design, functional validation, change management, and service operation.
·  Leveraging on methods and tools provide BA expertise/leadership to capture and analyze business needs, identify gaps with existing services, propose and design evolutions of services, processes and operating models compliant with company (business and ITS) strategy. Ensure the relevancy, practicality and usability of the services to meet/improve GRA business satisfaction
·  Lead team to build up multiples services scenarios with multidimensional analysis in providing rankings, risks analysis, impacts on organization, finances, technologies, and way of working. Provide a clear description of expected results and benefits, architecture guidelines, recommendations according to Sanofi's context
·  Establish a Center of Expertise for ITS GRA Business Analysts and lead it by setting standards, providing guidelines, ensuring continuous improvement practices for all BAs in ITS GRA team.
·  When relevant, promote Sanofi’s existing services to maximize their usages and adoption of market standards. Lead or contribute to assess service recipient workloads, pre-requisites, and required conditions for a successful implementation, adoption, and deployment steps

ITS:

o    ITS GRA LT, service owners, project/program managers, and service operational team including external services (e.g., AMS)

o    Other ITS LTs, service teams, Business Partners, ITS Quality, Security, and Procurement.

 

Business:

o    GRA LT, business leaders, stakeholders, and team members

o    Other business teams such as IA, Clinical, GPV, Commercial, and Medical

 

External Stakeholders: 

o    Suppliers / Service Providers

People management : no direct report, but adequate people management experience and skills are required to manage people functionally and develop the team.
