Monitoring Solution Architect

Job description

The Monitoring Solution Architect is responsible for the design, implementation and publishing of application performance monitoring according to the application SLA. FAcing clients the Monitoring Solution Architect is in charge of analysing the application architecture and the associated business functions, and so designing and implementing the appropriate monitoring capabilities to measure the application behaviors and make a complete health check over the time. He interacts with both the system owners and ITS TECH operational teams where applications are implemented to measure control and publish application performances.

The Monitoring Solution Architect is the point of contact for monitoring requirement of project teams during the design phase and the support team during the run phase. As such, he own the following tasks and responsibilities:

·  The Monitoring Solution Architect is responsible for the design and implementation of the toolsets necessary to cover all monitoring needs.
·  He/she will contribute to Monitoring strategy definition with Service Owner and Manager
·  He/she will design & develop new monitoring capabilities in closed collaboration with technical and Solution owner
·  coordinate development and deployment activities
·  ensure monitoring configuration consistencies and maintenance (if required)
·  Design the monitoring reports and publishing capability according to the SLA.
·  Actively participate to remediation teams when problems are discovered.
·  Collect functional requirements and associated business processes for applications in order to monitor and measure them as part of the SLA when required.
·  Coordinate monitoring development team to meet application monitoring requirements.
·  Analyze system architecture in order to determine appropriate system/server metrics to be collected and all component that may impact the application performance
·  Interact with system monitoring team to capture relevant metrics and measures.
