Medical Science Liaison – Oncology | Belux

About the Opportunity

Sanofi Genzyme has a great opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison to support our expanding portfolio in Oncology.

As a Medical Science Liaison you will be responsible for applying medical and scientific (non-promotional) expertise regarding the company products and related therapy areas to educate Health Care professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales and marketing) on Genzyme’s products. This includes guiding HCPs on the optimal use of Genzyme’s products, including unlicensed uses when requested as well as supporting and coordinating investigator led research concepts and provide market intelligence and training to internal colleagues.

This role is approx. 80% field based.

Key responsibilities

·  Identifying, developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with current and future leaders within the disease area ((key) opinion leaders ((K)OLs));
·  Interacting with local (K)OLs, and other HCPs to help generate an understanding of Genzyme’s products;
·  Supporting and liaising with HCPs on research proposals and scientific publications, particularly regarding Genzyme supported research;
·  Inviting (K)OLs to participate in local and/or MCO advisory boards in order to generate an understanding of and feedback on e.g. clinical and safety profiles, risk management and market access with regard to treatments in development;
·  Coordinating local advisory boards, diagnostic projects and local insight gathering;
·  Responding to medical questions;
·  Delivering the local Medical Affairs plan in collaboration with relevant departmental colleagues;
·  Preparing and/or contributing as appropriate to initial and ongoing medical/scientific disease area and product-specific training.

About You

Essential requirements:

·  Possess a Master’s degree in a biomedical field (MD, Pharmaceutical or Biomedical science) plus relevant experience in a similar role or possess a PHD in a relevant domain;
·  Strong social and communication skills;
·  A strong team player;
·  A motivated, driven and transparent approach;
·  Fluent in Dutch, French as well as English.

It would be advantageous to have:

·  Previous experience as an MSLM;
·  Previous experience in oncology, haematology or immunology.
