Job description



JOB PURPOSE:

To evaluate & understand the current local Medical practice & clinical decision making with regards to preventive patient care for the Vaccine business and share insights with the HO medical team.

Engagement of identified key scientific leaders through medical affairs activities, in alignment with the overall franchise plan and create a strong scientific expert data base to be involved in scientific activities.

Representing the organization in various internal & external scientific platforms.  

Receiving and processing scientific information requests received from physicians and value addition to all Sanofi Pasteur’s  vaccines  & providing scientific information/ literature on request, in line with Sanofi's India guidelines.

Provide Medico-Marketing inputs for further development & improvement of existing products.

Direct, monitor & ensure compliance from a medical aspect for Drug Safety & Usage.

KEY RESULT AREAS

1.People

·  Provide timely information on emerging clinical/scientific trends to internal stakeholders and latest scientific data to external stakeholders
·  Training to field force on product and disease areas as an when required in collaboration with Training team .
·  Working collaboration with epidemiologist for epidemiological studies .

2. Process

·  Maintain and nurture close contacts with KOLs and create a system for building and leveraging relationship with them.
·  Support Medical Affairs activities and programs  work towards improving the quality and adherence to strategy
·  Evaluate doctors feedback to upgrade the scientific  content of our CMEs.
·  Serve as a primary resource for clinical and scientific information to internal associates and external Health Care providers.
·  Provide input in the development of and ensure the appropriate execution of clinically relevant regional medical meetings (e.g. -advisory boards, symposia, consultant and investigator meetings, knowledge modules)
·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams in assessing education (knowledge module)/research needs and develop education (knowledge module)/research strategies to meet those needs.
·  Critically evaluate the educational quality of company sponsored education programs and effective new product introduction and share insights with HO medical team
·  Clear understanding of medical practice and clinical decision making with regards to patient care.
·  Ability to identify unmet medical, educational, and research needs within the regional healthcare community.
·  Assist in the identification of Investigators and sites for company trials.
·  Serve as a liaison for the review, submission, execution and completion of Investigator Initiated trial proposals.
·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide balanced and accurate information to top regional formulary decision makers and NPC committee members.
·  Serve as a liaison in the unsoliciated educational grant request process.
·  Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with Sanofi’s Business guidelines, policies and SOPs, OPPI, and IFPMA guidelines/policies.

3.Customer

·  Establish and maintain credible peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national, state and top regional opinion leaders.
·  Demonstrate ability to develop and foster relationships with HCPs and Healthcare organizations.
·  Maintain appropriate communication flow with internal and external teams  (KOL & medical/marketing) .

Requirement:

·  MD/MBBS/BDS
·  Minimum 2 years industry experience, Vaccine experience will be added advantage

Technical Qualifications and Knowledge:

·  Interpretation of key scientific data and ability to translate this information to meet educational and research needs.
·  Ability to make effective presentations to diverse audiences
·  Good  Communication skills
·  Ability to organize events/meetings by collaborating with multiple stakeholders
