JOB PURPOSE

The Maintenance, Utilities and Facilities Engineer is responsible to provide technical expertise to Maintenance technicians and assist Mechanical Team Lead with timely closure of HSE and Quality actions. To ensure seamless and uninterrupted plant utilities supply to major stakeholders in Sanofi Jurong. In addition, the incumbent is responsible in ensuring that Site Facilities and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services are adequately maintained and in operational state to serve it’s intended function.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The jobholder reports to Mechanical Team Lead who is the System and Equipment owner for both utilities and facilities in Sanofi Jurong. The incumbent is expected to manage a strong relationship with both inter-department and external stakeholders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage maintenance execution of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure timely completion within Site HSE and Quality expectations.

·  Ensures timely review of completed Preventive Maintenance (PM) record sheets and utilities log sheet.
· 
Assist in implementing maintenance program, preventive maintenance procedures and spare part strategy recommended by Reliability for reliable and efficient operation of equipment in Sanofi Jurong.

· 
Provide Engineering solution and support project execution.

· 
Establish Risk Assessment (RA) and Method Statement (MS) for complex maintenance activities.

· 
Participate in regular review of maintenance program and procedures to increase equipment reliability and reduce waste.

· 
Ensures timely closure of assigned HSE and Quality event investigation and corrective & preventive action tasks.

· 
Responsible for notifying Management in a timely manner of abnormal observation and HSE or GMP deficiencies.

· 
Responsible to adhere to Quality and HSE requirements.

Ensures the following utility systems are appropriately maintained and operated to ensure undisrupted supply:

· 
Steam generation and distribution

· 
Compressed & Instrument Air generation and distribution

· 
Chilled (5°C) Water and Glycol (-10°C and -15°C) Generation and Distribution

· 
Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) for GMP and non-GMP

· 
Nitrogen distribution

· 
Potable and New water distribution

The incumbent is responsible to supervise Site Facilities and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) function which includes the following:

· 
Building operation and maintenance

· 
Pest Control

​ Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· 
Degree or Diploma in Engineering related discipline or equivalent is required.

· 
At least 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, GMP, chemical, petrochemical, shipping or semiconductor industry.

· 
Proficiency in Window based applications such as Excel, Power Point and Word is required.

· 
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Project and SAP Maintenance module will be an added advantage.

· 
Strong written and oral communication skills with special reference to ability to communicate on technical matters to audience of varying knowledge and abilities.

· 
Ability to work effectively with internal and external teams or those outside formal line of authority (e.g. peers, managers) to accomplish goals.

· 
Good trouble shooting and analytical skill with strong ability to develop an approach to problem solving in determining root cause.

· 
Strong leadership and team building, ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships between teams and departments.
