Software Engineer (Web Tools/.NET)

Job description

The Senior Software Engineer .NET, will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high quality application tools at Zodiac Inflight Innovations. This mainly includes the analysis,design, implementation, and testing of a suite of Windows .NET based tools. This position will work closely with a small team of developers. The candidate will support existing and new software projects.

Responsibilities:

·  • Develop websites, services and applications in Windows in accordance with functional and technical specifications
·  • Work in small team environment to scope issues and deliver team commitments
·  • Supports high quality applications using Scrum methodology which includes object-oriented design, testing, and documentation in a highly collaborative environment
·  • Implement improvements in development tactics that demonstrably improve team quality and velocity, such as implementation of automated unit tests, automated builds, and other process improvements
·  • Analyze and troubleshoots software initiatives
·  • Participate in peer reviews of software designs and source code
·  • Participate in Sprint Demos and Sprint Retrospectives

Desired profile

Job requirements

·  • 5+ years of programming experience with .Net and C# on Web and Windows applications and services
·  • A thorough understanding of object oriented programming, design techniques, and patterns used to create high quality and readable code
·  • Must have front end, middle tier and back end development experience
·  • MVC Framework experience, and ASP.NET
·  • Knowledge of SQL Server Stored Procedures, Triggers
·  • Preferred SQL Server (2008) experience
·  • Basic UML (class hierarchy diagrams, sequence diagrams)
·  • Agile Development Methodologies(Scrum experience a plus)
·  • Knowledge of Javascript, and jQuery experience
·  • Ability to effectively interact, and communicate with colleagues and clients
