Job Description

The role is located at the Roquette Group Headquarter. Reporting to the Head of Legal for GBU Food & Industry, you will play a legal advisory role to (1) support one of the company’s Business Units that is active on the food ingredients market and (2) contribute as the representative of the Legal Department to Business Transformation Projects. You will ensure that the Business Unit operates in compliance with laws and regulations while supporting its short-term and long-term strategy.

To support Roquette’s growth, the Legal Function at Roquette ambitions to build a strong and efficient legal team and network across the world by protecting the company’s interests. The Legal Department brings Legal, Regulatory & Intellectual Property expertise as a business partner for each GBU and Function by providing leadership strategic advice, risk-mitigation & practical solutions.

·  Be a key legal contract for GBU’s customers and partners ; establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationship with the sales, marketing and technical teams of the GBU
·  Draft and negotiate contracts for the GBU customers and partners, mainly sales frame and multiyear agreements - primary point of contact for Steering Teams managing Strategic Accounts
·  Provide legal inputs to Business Transformation Projects (global scope) by representing the Legal Department
·  Ensure legal compliance and limit legal risk exposure of the GBU
·  Provide effective and business oriented legal advice
·  Work effectively with the other members of the Legal Team on legal and compliance issues
·  Maintain a fair and transparent reporting to the Head of Legal – GBU Food & Industry

Instruct and manage local external counsel/lawyers

·  Solid drafting skills and attention to details are essential
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation
·  Willingness and desire to train others in all business legal aspects and to improve the legal culture of the Group at all levels
·  You are expected to be pro-active and eager to optimize and harmonize the current legal processes
·  Business oriented
·  Ability to communicate effectively in multi-cultural environment
·  Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

8 years experience

Accustomed to working in an international environment with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in an industrial environment as a lawyer (gained in-house and/or in private practice). You will demonstrate a drive for quality and excellence, be a team player, hardworking, rigorous, an agile thinker, business-minded and balance both drive and diplomacy. Your ability to assess risks and propose mitigation plans will be key for success in the role.
