Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Electrical supervisor, this position is responsible for providing Instrumentation maintenance support on a variety of production equipment to support day-to-day operations of the plant. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic, calibrating and troubleshooting services, responding to emergency breakdowns and completing accurate data entry for work orders and documentation. This position at times may also perform project work on an as needed basis for new installations and customizations on existing equipment to improve manufacturing efficiencies

·  Test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect, machinery and equipment for production and monitoring devices to ensure proper performance and operation.
·  Perform preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders and respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs in an expedited and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
·  Troubleshoot and calibrate analog and digital devices.
·  Ensure high standards of workmanship quality are delivered to prevent manufacturing equipment breakdowns.
·  Perform Instrumentation tasks as assigned by the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor.
·  Train an apprentice as part of a formal program or work with junior staff as part of informal training and mentoring in job performance.
·  Complete maintenance shift report at the completion of each shift using computerized software.
·  Perform repairs on work orders and equipment specific manufacturer’s requirements.
·  Plan and prioritize workflow according to business needs and management instructions

·  Installation, configuration and calibration of the following.
·  Analog sensors (PT, TT, FT, WT , PH …) and switches
·  Actuators (control valves, valves, variable frequency drives)
·  Analyzers and specific detectors.
·  Fieldbus network (hart, Ethernet, profibus, Modbus ..
·  Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems in automated plant environments.
·  Education: Instrumentation Journeyman’s certificate or Technologist diploma .
· 
Experience: 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry
