Roche Diagnostics has created a new start-up business charged with building a modern software stack that will improve the processes and clinical decision support in healthcare. Our challenge is to bring together complex diagnostic and treatment data from medical devices and IT systems within healthcare institutions and hospitals, and intelligently process and present this data to doctors and healthcare providers to improve patient care.

In the function of Solution Architect - Interoperability you are responsible for the following tasks:

· 
Engage with Roche customers to understand clinical data and workflow requirements, complex interoperability problems, and design innovative solutions.

· 
Responding to interoperability and related aspects of Requests for Proposals / Tenders.

· 
Identifying and defining the interoperability solution scope, and authoring Statements of Work.

· 
Authoring logical and physical interoperability solution diagrams.

· 
Collaborate with the Product Management team as a Voice of the Customer, providing input to interface related product features, functions, and define the future roadmap.

· 
Collaborate with Engineering as an interoperability domain expert, including but not necessarily limited to: authoring product technical and serviceability requirements, supporting key verification and validation efforts, identifying and resolving key product defects, etc.

· 
Occasional travel (up to 50%) to customer or Roche sites to support business needs.

Who you are:

·  You have successfully completed your studies in Computer Science or closely related discipline
·  8+ years of direct experience in healthcare informatics / interoperability.
·  Previous experience working with healthcare providers, including clinical end-users and information technology professionals, to develop and deliver field solutions.
·  Experience working with integration engines in the healthcare industry, such as Orion Health Rhapsody, InterSystems HealthShare, MuleSoft, etc.
·  Experience integrating Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems and related ancillary systems (e.g. PACS, LIS, etc.).
·  Experience with the following standards and frameworks: HL7 (v2, v3, FHIR), DICOM, IHE, ICD, LOINC.
·  Previous experience or strong knowledge of SaaS solutions using public cloud platforms such as AWS and related service offerings.
·  Innovative, demonstrate initiative, and capable of functioning independently toward clear business objectives with limited direct guidance.
·  Adaptive style of communication depending on audience. Comfortable communicating with and influencing customers, internal technical teams, as well as senior leadership.
·  You speak fluent German and English.
