Responsible for conducting research, development and manufacturing laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to support Ventana projects. Exercises technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Presents and discusses results of experiments within department and project team. Maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and may participate in conferences and professional societies. Follows company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, Design Control and others as appropriate. Maintains complete and accurate laboratory documentation and electronic files. May act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments.

Responsibilities:

·  Conducts research, development, validation and/or implementation activities.
·  GxP experience.
·  Helps Scientists in daily activities across multiple projects and Analytical platforms.
·  Makes detailed observations, analyzes data and interprets results.
·  Documents all the work with great attention to detail.
·  Helps with buffer preparations, calibrations, instrument maintenance and qualifications.
·  Helps with on-market investigations for Product quality and support.
·  Investigates, creates and develops new methods and technologies for project advancement.
·  Maintains high level of professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
·  Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
·  Be flexible, adapt to changes easily
·  Be able to enjoy dynamic, fast pace, fluid work flow.
·  Excellent communication skills. Be able to communicate with-in and out side of the team effectively.
·  May participate in scientific conferences and contribute to scientific journals.
·  May be responsible for identifying patentable inventions.
·  May act as principal investigator in conducting own experiments.
·  Previous Analytical, Assay development, Protein chemistry, Protein quantitation and characterization experience is a plus.

Formal Training/Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Science

Experience:

4 years relevant job experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Knows wide range of experimental techniques and skilled in their applications.
·  Capable with searching scientific literature to gain general and specific information.
·  Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.
