As a Real Estate Data Scientist you will work closely with IT, Information Management Center (IMC), the Data Excellence team and our Digital Real Estate colleagues to define use cases, frame analytical solutions, and roadmaps, and implement analysis to drive business impact for Rochein the area of Real Estate Management (PSR). PSR designs current and future workplace environments in accordance with the corporate strategy and growth, and anticipates trends. This includes office workplaces, laboratories, and research centers, but also production facilities. As a Real Estate Data Scientist, you will work in an agile working environment in the newly established Homebase“Real Estate Strategy and Innovation”.

The Real Estate Data Scientist is a subject matter expert (SME) on analytics, data, and key performance indicators. His/her technical expertise and strong matrix leadership are recognized internally by proactively providing market expertise and strategic guidance to key stakeholders. He/She integrates multiple data sources to become a trusted, objective source of strategic insights and compelling recommendations to the Real Estate organization and our partners.

Your main responsibilities will be:

·  Creating value from data assets using advanced analytics capabilities (data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence methods) to identify critical business issues and opportunities for the strategic direction of Roche's Real Estate Management
·  Set strategic direction by working across PSR to understand business needs and translate them into use cases to drive business impact for Roche
·  Partner with the IMC team and IT to ensure that data strategy has the ability to resolve use cases in the most efficient and effective manner
·  Apply analytical and statistical methods to solve identified use cases in an agile manner using multiple data sources and analytical tools (e.g. tableau)
·  Automate analyses and develop interactive, employee-facing tools (e.g. our building information cockpit BIC), platforms, and systems that inform, support, and enable business decisions across Roche by delivering insights in a speedy and efficient manner
·  Collaborate within cross-functional teams to develop solutions, gain alignment and deliver impactful business insights; engage necessary stakeholders to enable better decision-making

You already have 3 to 5 years of experience as a data analyst, know statistical methods and can apply them experience in identifying relevant data sources, extracting data (e.g. from ERP and CAFM systems) as well as ensuring data quality.

Additionally, you fulfill the following requirements:

·  You have a degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science or business administration with a quantitative focus or a similar education (e.g. Master or MBA)
·  You are proficient in how to deal with structured data in relational databases, in MS Office formats (e.g. Excel, Access) or text files (e.g. XML, CSV) and you have experience with data modeling tools, as well as reporting and visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
·  Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and to develop and maintain strong partnerships
·  You are a team player, motivated to learn new things and you like to work in a customer-oriented way.
·  You are fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
·  Excellent communication skills: simplifying complex information into clear, synthesized insights and presenting them to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
