Who we are:

You will work in the department of Cancer Immunotherapy at Roche Innovation Center Munich, which focuses on the role of myeloid cell activation in cancer immunotherapy. The current research project focuses on elucidation of the biological consequences of tumor specific activation of myeloid cells. Direct and indirect influence of tumor specific activation of myeloid cells on antigen presentation and T cell response will be evaluated by both in vitro and in vivo approaches. You will perform your work in close collaboration with the Pharmacology group and the Large Molecule Research unit located at Roche Innovation Center Munich and other Cancer Immunotherapy departments at Roche Innovation Center Zurich.

Your Team:

You will primarily work together with an excellent team of experienced scientists, post docs and associates within the department of cancer immunotherapy and other functions at Roche Innovation Center Munich.

Your Contribution:

·  You perform cutting-edge research in cancer immunology with a focus on myeloid cell biology.
·  You are responsible for the design and execution of experimental work, data analysis, documentation according to the guidelines and presentation of results.
·  You will publish data in top-tiered journals, attend and present at internal and international meetings and closely collaborate across groups in the research unit.

Your Profile:

·  You are proactive, well organized and are able to solve problems creatively.
·  You enjoy working in a team and understand team dynamics.
·  You are able to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.

Your Qualifications:

·  A PhD degree in a relevant field (obtained no longer than 4 years ago).
·  Strong background in immunology, expertise in tumor immunology.
·  Background in myeloid cell biology and hands-on experience in myeloid cell analysis and assays is highly desirable.
·  Good experience in immunological assays, standard molecular biology and cell culture techniques.
·  You have a good publication record.
·  In addition, you have an excellent command of English.
·  FELASA certification and experience in animal work (mouse) is essential.
