Payroll Clerk

Location: Illovo, Johannesburg

Reports into: Compensation and Benefits Manager

The Position

Provide Payroll support to the HR Function as a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll clerk will need to pay close attention to detail and have a firm understanding of math and payroll systems as well as be a strong communicator who can relay important salary information to employees.

Your key activities will include:

·  Loading of new employees onto payroll system as well as update the payroll system with employee changes
·  Administer transfers / promotions / terminations on payroll
·  To open and maintain personnel files by filing all related documentation
·  Reconciliation of leave and sick notes
·  Run reports in SAP
·  Liaising with Payroll Providers when required
·  Bargaining Council reporting

This challenging role requires the following qualification, experience and skills :

·  Must have a Payroll Diploma or equivalent.
·  Must have extensive SAP payroll experience within a staff compliment of 300+
·  Spinifex experience will be advantageous
·  Must have strong excel skills and good financial aptitude with high accuracy and attention to detail
·  Must be able to communicate clearly with all audiences, both verbally and written and provide excellent customer service.
·  Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks among many competing requests and be an agile and proactive Team player.
