Responsible for:
• Interacting with HCPs to understand their views, preferences and interests, in the assigned therapeutic area, and where Roche / GNE can partner with them to meet their needs where aligned with our strategies
• Providing medical expertise to customers, and customer insights to internal product teams
• Responding to unsolicited, product related questions from physicians in accordance to local laws, regulations and codes and Roche/GNE SOPs
• Serving as the scientific bridge and point of contact with the investigator for IISs, and supporting Roche/GNE sponsored study planning and execution including enhancing the site's performance and quality
• Understanding and acting in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice
• Inform Local Safety Responsible of safety issues according to Roche/GNE safety SOPs; and provide scientific support and follow-up on product safety issues

Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
1) Develop TAE management strategy and engagement plan in given disease area (DA) to align with medical strategy in order to support overall brand strategy
• Review and update TAE list in given DA via thorough TAE identification, profiling, and mapping process.
• Develop TAE management strategy and engagement plan for MSL DA team by working with MM and business counterparts to ensure the alignment with medical and brand strategy.
• Ensure medical expertise provided to TAEs, and TAEs' insights to internal medical and product teams timely and accurately, to support strategy planning.
2) Lead MSL DA team to ensure full execution of MSL Territory Medical plan
• Ensure the execution of MSL Territory Medical plan to fulfill the scientific communication objectives.
- Ensure team's full understanding and alignment with the medical strategy.
- Organize regional advisory board meetings to support the execution of medical strategy.
- Help the team to design and deliver high quality of scientific communication activities.
- Oversee the implementation of the scientific projects to meet the data gap in regional level.
• Regularly review and modify MSL Territory Medical plan during implementation to ensure full support to key medical initiatives.
• Seek feedbacks and suggestions from external customers and internal stakeholders for constant improvement.
• Budget and timeline control on MSL activities by active tracking and recording.
3) Strengthen TAE management in the field by building up the capability and capacity of MSL DA team to ensure high quality scientific engagement
• Recruitment for a high standard MSL team.
• Organize and conduct constant training to MSL team on both knowledge update and soft skill improvement.
• Provide ongoing assessment of assigned MSL team to ensure the competencies and effectiveness towards team and individual goals.
• Regular co-visits of TAEs with team member to ensure quality of TAE engagement
• Support the Disease Area Head in the performance management, evaluation process, and organizational talent review process for MSL team.
• Lead the exploration and adoption of innovative channels to improve TAE engagement
4) Team/People management
• Inspire and motivate positive team work spirit by active, open and constructive communications.
• Coach and support individual subordinate MSL for desired performance and career development.
• Oversee the development and implementation of training plans for the assigned MSL team.
• Manage the MSL team specific budget, including review and approval of expense reports.
5) Cross-functional collaboration enhancement
• Act as an interface and build up collaboration platform between MSL and other Medical/Business counterparts.
• Ensure the medical and scientific support provided to the commercial activities, including medical input into the marketing strategy and sales training.
6) Compliance adherence
• Ensure all medical initiatives implemented strictly adhere to Roche SOPs/codes and local regulations.
• Champion the implementation of medical compliance with high ethics and integrity.

Qualification and Experience
Education/Qualifications
• Major in Clinical medicine, Pharma or Science.
• Master Degree or above (preferred).
• >3 years working experience in medical affairs or related therapeutic area in pharmaceutical company.
Leadership Competencies
• Strategic thinking and planning skills.
• Demonstrated ability in cross-functional leadership.
• >1 year experience in people and budget management in a pharmaceutical organization is preferred.
Job Required Competencies
Expertise in the Therapeutic area of relevance with an established TAE network.
In-depth understanding of the commercial & regulatory environment in local market.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align with wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to motive the team members working towards shared goals.
