Purpose and Mission

The Information Architect (IA) is a part of RGITSC – Sales and Commercial team and plays a fundamental role in designing the information-centric solutions that supports APAC Sales and Commercial Operations.

This person strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes. The IA is responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses.

Dimensions

·  Identify areas for improvement in terms of information structure and flow, automation, information representation and advise Solution Owners and project teams for best practice and implementation
·  Lead and be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of an overall Information Architecture framework components including Data Glossary & Data Standards, Information Models, Information Flow, Information Governance, and Tools & Training
·  Provide project teams with expertise in applying concept of data modeling and information layer architecture and platforms like Informatica.

Academic Requirement

Degree/Masters in Information Technology or Master Data Management

Key competencies

·  Strong background in SQL and NoSQL storage systems and data modeling
·  In-depth experience of designing and implementing information solutions.
·  Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred.
·  Master Data Governance experience.
·  Experience as a data analyst is highly desirable
·  Ability to cooperate and communicate with people at different organization levels and within multidisciplinary teams.
·  Knowledge on Project management (e.g.PMI, Prince2) and agile methodologies (like Scrum, Kanban, Lean) will have added advantage

Key responsibilities

·  Manage project deliverables which includes building up solution and responsible for the delivery as per agreed plan.
·  Lead and be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of an overall Information Architecture framework components including Data Glossary & Data Standards, Information Models, Information Flow, Information Governance, and Tools & Training.
·  Responsible in building, maintaining and managing relations with business partners addressing requirements/escalations/improvement needs related to respective services, consulting, proposing solutions and take accountability with implementing data and analytics management
·  Adopt Roche Global MDM processes and tools as a standard tool.
·  Provide project teams with expertise in applying concept of data modeling and information layer architecture and platforms like Informatica
·  Drive implementation and adoption of customer master data management
·  Provide in-depth identification and resolution of content management
·  Coach and support peer architects or team members

Mandatory Skills and Experience

·  5+ years of experience in IT, with at least two years in information system design.
·  In-depth experience of designing and implementing information solutions.
·  Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred.
·  3-5 years' experience as a data analyst is highly desirable.
·  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
·  Good working knowledge of semantic technologies, modeling skills including schema design
·  Ability to use adequate abstraction of the information entities from high level data flow to low level solution centric data attributes
·  Strong analytical skills, ability to learn new process and new concepts, to link business process with information entities and to understand technical constraints with technical capabilities
·  Strong background in SQL and NoSQL storage systems and data modeling
·  Good judgement and pragmatic approach to deliver solutions that optimize architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technology realities
