The Position: Imaging Strategist, PHC Imaging

The PHC Data Science Imaging group seeks a talented and motivated Imaging Strategist to join us in supporting the efforts of the Personalized Healthcare (PHC) Group in developing novel imaging for use in clinical drug development. The PHC Imaging Group is responsible for leveraging clinical imaging data and real-world data (RWD) in combination with recent advances in computing and computer vision (machine/deep learning algorithms) to automate the analysis of medical images and provide clinical insights across several therapeutic areas.

You will be working closely with the Senior Imaging Strategy Lead, PHC Data Science Imaging as well as technical matter experts who focus primarily on applying Machine- and Deep Learning approaches to oncology-, neuroscience-, and ophthalmology projects. Your responsibilities will primarily be to help to support the identification, development and execution of a strategy for how `big data' image analytics can aid across the entire (clinical) drug development process, including post-marketing evidence generation. The job will utilize and build on your experience in scientific/medical imaging and/or business/consulting/vendor management and will require a firm, end-to-end understanding of the drug development process. This position requires significant cross functional collaborations with a diverse team of subject matter experts, business- and partnering leads, vendors and academic institutions.

Responsibilities

· 
Assess, scope, and gather detailed requirements for PHC Imaging's data and analytics needs relative to defined clinical questions

· 
Participate in the identification and acquisition of internal clinical data and/or external RWD to meet these needs

· 
Provide strategic guidance re: internal analytics efforts and/or selection of external partners/vendors

· 
Support internal/external relationships and ensure implementation of relevant strategic partnership arrangements to maximize efficiency and mitigate risk

· 
Provide recommendations on clinical imaging and business strategy in the PHC space, including imaging use, impact, and value, to guide decision making

· 
Adhere to Data Privacy and IP considerations for PHC Imaging efforts

Education / Qualification

· 
PhD or MS in quantitative field (eg biomedical engineering, imaging physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, EE, etc.); or advanced Life Sciences degree with significant biomedical imaging experience; or, MBA with significant scientific or healthcare industry experience.

· 
Five years work experience in pharmaceutical drug or business development, use of imaging in clinical trial design, strategic consulting

· 
Understanding of medical imaging or computer vision (machine/deep learning)
