As the Data Entry Technician, you will assist the clinical and development teams in data capture and data entry, data quality assurance, and the inventory and management of pathology slides.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·  Transcribes verbal evaluation by pathologists or qualified readers to paper or electronic scoring sheets.
·  Enters verbal evaluation by pathologists or qualified readers directly into an electronic database capture (EDC) system.
·  Enters data recorded on paper into computer database.
·  Verifies accuracy of data in paper and/or electronic documents.
·  Assists as needed in developing and managing slide inventory system.
·  Assists with slide handling for development and/or clinical studies, including flatting and boxing slides.
·  Performs other similar duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Training/Education:

·  A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
·  Some university training or a college degree is helpful.

Experience:

·  Minimum 3 years of experience in data entry, transcription, or quality control processes.
·  Experience with clinical trial data preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·  Ability to work with relevant computer software packages, including spreadsheets and word-processing packages (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word), is essential.
·  Knowledge of at least one relational database software (e.g., Access, Medrio, RAVE, etc.).
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·  Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining high standards of precision and data quality.
