The Data and Analytics Chapter within Roche Pharma International Informatics empowers its partners with actionable information and data-driven decision making. The role combines responsibilities in leading regional business engagement, technical solution design and deployment and overseeing data analytics service delivery across the region.

As a Lead Analyst within our Data and Analytics chapter, you will actively connect with our partners across the region to promote our Chapter service offer and understand their needs. You will collaborate with data Scientists, Data Engineers and Data Visualizers within the function and across the organization to develop methodologies and algorithms to generate impactful evidence and insights for our business.

You will enable the chapter to focus on the key activities, and frame the strategy and service offer together with all chapter members.

You will rely on your business engagement skill, your ability to interact with cross-functional experts as well as advanced analytical competency to enable us to optimize business performance, solve complex data problems and deliver the insight that helps to define our strategy and enable our organization to reach our patients faster.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

·  Contribute our chapter governance worldwide
·  Implement and execute the communication strategy for the chapter
·  Foster collaboration with other Data and Analytic groups across Roche
·  Lead a team of data analysts, ensure associates have clear planning, performance, measures and goals.
·  Engage with up-to C-level stakeholders to incubate, prioritize and deliver data-driven use cases
·  Build data ecosystem globally to support RWD initiatives in local and regional affiliates
·  Investigate available tools and technologies, support implementation, qualification, validation within the Chapter
·  Research comprehensive statistical, mathematical and computer science models/algorithms across business contexts
·  Collaborate with third parties including academia and industry

Who you are

·  You are a self-starter with an excellent sense for communication and change management.
·  You have at least 5 years' experience in IT projects and/or data science projects in highly regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, medical device, health care etc.
·  You have 3 years in senior-level data analytics role and leading data analytics teams as well as offshore partners
·  You have a bachelor's degree or higher with a focus on mathematics or computer science
·  You have experience with Big Data architectures such as the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive, Impala etc.) and data processing including but not limited to ETL, cleansing, feature engineering, automation, modelling, etc.
·  You are proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, SQL etc.
·  You have experience in visualization tools like Tableau, D3js or similar to communicate data and results with non-technical audience
·  You have experience in IT service management e.g. request management, change management in a validated environment.
·  You have strong interpersonal skills with proven influencing and negotiation skills, as well as excellent skills at building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders within matrix organizations.
·  You have a demonstrated ability to interact with different teams and parties of the organization, such as business, technical and external academic partners
·  You can work in interdisciplinary areas and can interpret and translate very abstract and technical approaches to healthcare and business relevant solutions
·  You are a strong team player and can work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
·  You are fluent in English
