As a Clinical Biomarker Scientist you will support validation and implementation of approaches for biomarker analysis on pRED clinical trials in China to support dose finding, MoA confirmation and patient stratification to enable personalized healthcare (PHC). You will harness your expertise in immunoassay and flow cytometry technologies, and support the qualification and validation of biomarker assays in Roche research laboratories at external service providers in China and worldwide, thus to contribute to robust, compliant implementation in clinical trials. In addition you will embrace and facilitate integration of novel science and technologies. You will collaborate across a multitude of pRED disciplines with scientists in Shanghai as well as at Roche sites in Europe and the US.

●Responsible for leading development, validation and execution of biomarker assays

●Selection and management of CROs for clinical biomarker analysis both in China and globally

●Identification of new technologies for biomarker quantification and contribution to the technology and scientific strategy for biomarker discovery and quantification

●Focus on the protein and cellular biomarker needs of the pRED clinical portfolios in China

●Collaboration with multiple stakeholders in Shanghai as well as at Roche sites in Europe and the US

Desired profile

Who you are

●Experience and expertise in biomarker discovery, assay development and validation and implementation of biomarker assays in the clinic

●Experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

●Extensive experience working with CROs in China and globally

●Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

●Excellent communication skills (English and Chinese)​

●At least 2 years experience in industry (pharma, biotech or CRO)

●PhD in a relevant discipline
