Richemont - Digital & Privacy Counsel (Maternity Cover)

 

How will you make an impact? 

·  You will play a key role in, and lead, strategic group projects relating to digital strategy and privacy strategy.
·  You will lead and manage advice to the company and Maisons in relation to digital and online compliance, technology and e-Commerce.
·  You will lead and manage advice to enable long term business development through consistent legal solutions, including regulatory compliance.
·  You will support proactively and reactively Richemont and its Maisons on digital, technology and projects
·  You will assist the Digital & Compliance Team in challenging proposed solutions depending on the existing risks, the given risk appetite and the available risk treatment options.
·  You will assist the Digital & Compliance Team on providing advice relating to “business as usual” IT, e-Commerce, marketing, social media, consumer and privacy issues.
·  You will advise on, support and develop the many converging IT platforms through which the company and Maisons do business (including internet, mobile, tablets etc.)
·  You will collaborate with a range of internal teams, including Human Resources, Information and Security team, marketing and communications teams, e-Commerce and IT teams and Legal/IP lawyers in order to advise on a broad range of digital and privacy issues.
·  You will assist and advise the company and its Maisons in respect of regulatory filing and maintenance obligations with various regulatory bodies.
·  You will assist with GDPR related topics, including negotiating data processing agreements with suppliers and dealing with data subject requests (data subject access and right to be forgotten).
·  You will assist with training sessions for Richemont and its Maisons’ internal legal and commercial teams.
·  You will keep Richemont and its Maisons up to date with changes in national data protection laws worldwide.

 

How will you experience success with us?

·  Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues in simple terms
·  Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly and effectively
·  Ability to work independently as well as part of an overall larger team
·  Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
·  European qualified lawyer with a strong academic record
·  2-5 PQE+ ideally
·  Commercially focussed and solutions driven digital, technology and privacy lawyer with experience working in a reputable law firm. In-house experience desirable but not essential.
·  Contract drafting and negotiating expertise
·  Experience advising on consumer-related topics and GDPR would be ideal
