As an IT Support Technician within Watchfinder, your time will be split between day-to-day IT Support and Project-based work. You will be responsible for the daily upkeep, configuration, and improvement of existing IT systems and services. Working on escalated support calls and finding and documenting resolutions. Project work will include fact-finding, planning, documenting and implementing designs. This may include working as part of a team, or on an individual basis.

As the company continues to grow, you will occasionally be required to travel abroad to project manage or support the configuration and setup of new locations.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

·  Take ownership of service desk tickets and work proactively to find a resolution
·  Handling escalated calls from 1st line IT staff
·  Administer and maintain corporate infrastructure, including Active Directory, O365, SharePoint, OneDrive
·  Managing LANWAN technologies
·  Administer backup and disaster recovery systems and processes
·  Producing technical documentation for both projects and problem resolutions
·  Be willing to assist and take on mentoring responsibilities towards junior members of the staffing
·  Out of hours support occasionally

About you…

·  Excellent organisation, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to work to meet tight deadlines
·  Minimum of three years experience within an IT support team either inhouse or MSP at 1st or 2nd Line
·  Strong communication skills
·  Work proactively as an individual and within a team
·  Take on the responsibility of assigned tasks and helping others when needed
·  Able to follow processes and procedures
·  Committed to improving technical knowledge, including keeping up with industry trends, new technologies and best practices
·  Willingness to travel abroad occasionally

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

·  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10
·  Good administration knowledge of cloud-based services such as Office 365, SharePoint and OneDrive
·  Good knowledge of Active Directory
·  Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and vLANs
·  Good knowledge of Dell Hardware

Desirable:

·  Exposure to Microsoft Azure
·  Understanding of VOIP
·  Exposure to Mac OS
·  Project management experience
·  Professional Qualifications
