dunhill – Product Developer – Leather Goods & Shoes

 

dunhill are currently seeking a Product Developer to support their Leather Goods & Shoes categories. The role is based within their Head Offices – North Audley Street and will be reporting into the Head of Product Development.

 

Role Purpose

 

To coordinate product cycle process for LG and Shoes. To manage the creation of codes, the communication with the suppliers and the development budget research and development in accordance with the brief and the design needs.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Critical Path:

·  Constant liaison with Designer, PT and suppliers to ensure all relevant development steps are followed through and signed off
·  Work with product team on product development, costing and lead time
·  Manage database, ensure all costs, product descriptions, MOQ, composition, suppliers and ICS are on system, BOMs sent to suppliers on time

 

LG & Shoes:

·  Creation of codes in IPDM
·  Establish strong working relationships with existing manufacturing base to optimise service levels for development
·  In conjunction with quality management, maintain detailed product specification sheets which detail all aspects of the product development cycle

 

Research & Development:

·  Ensure quality is built in the product during development process first stage

 

Ideal Profile

 

·  Significant experience of working within product development
·  Proven experience in a role requiring strong organisational and administrative skills, accuracy, attention to detail and prioritising of a diverse workload
·  Relationships with tanneries, makers and trim suppliers in Europe
·  Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
·  Intermediate Knowledge of Photoshop or equivalent
·  Good understanding of leather & trims
·  Ability to communicate across different levels and functions within the business
·  Ability to present/sell concepts and ideas to others
·  Well organised & process driven
·  Methodical approach
·  Strong accuracy and attention to detail
·  Able to work under pressure and to prioritise
·  Excellent communication skills & team player
·  Proactive approach to understanding luxury menswear trends
·  Good understanding of leather, ability to select correct materials to achieve the end product required
