MAIN PURPOSE

As part of our China-based Client & Digital team, you will design and implement a technical data strategy, own data governance and provide advanced technical data solutions (including data warehouse and BI solution) customer data analytics for an improved engagement across digital and physical touchpoints, in China and globally. From our flagship Tmall store and five-star localized Website to our WeChat ecosystem, digital marketing and the retail store experience, you will helps us reimage how Data and Technology meet to serve our Chinese consumers more directly and personally, worldwide.

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 –Technical data strategy and system development
- Develop, implement, measure and take ownership of our Chinese client data system as well as its predictive models, leveraging the Tencent and Alibaba ecosystems and their DMP. 


-Fully understand the data maintained in various systems and how data from these systems are best organized and integrated to meet business needs.

-Work closely with stakeholders to develop data warehouse and BI Solution (including recommending data visualization and reporting solutions) which can facilitate business requirements.

-Work with security to implement data privacy and data security requirements to ensure solutions stay compliant to security standards and frameworks.

-Manage database governance, support team to improve database management, database related issue troubleshooting and provide technology solution accordingly.

-Collaborate with agency for platform design, testing and rollout

 

2 – Data application enhancement
- Drive data initiatives and advanced technics that will improve digital engagement utilizing state-of-the art Data, ML, AI learning algorithms and/or statistical modeling and Cloud platforms
- Work closely with Tencent, Alibaba and other external partners on the possible Data solutions, involved through pair design and programming, code review and scientific or technical workshops to overcome business challenges
- Partner with internal tech teams to improve data collection and data integration across touchpoints of our China product landscape
- Develop unique competencies or expertise in statistics, programming, database technology and data visualization and adapt them to the specificity of the luxury industry
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education Qualifications:
B.Sc. or MSc  in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
 
Experience:

·  Strong understanding of China digital ecosystem, Ecommerce, Tmall, Wechat.
·  Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact, dimension, data model, star schema etc.).
·  Experience agile development practices with different internal teams and agencies.
·  Demonstrated skill in developing production-ready code
·  Experience in implementing machine learning algorithms (Random Forests, SVM, boosting algorithms, ...)
·  Excellent communication and data visualization skills
·  Combination of deep technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within our customers organization. Being able to advice senior management in clear language about the implications of their work for the organization
·  Being able to work autonomously
·  Being able to work in a fast-paced multicultural environment

Technical Requirements:

·  Good experience as an ETL and Kimball Dimensional database designer and architect on large multi-million row data warehouse applications.
·  Advanced knowledge in data integration from both internal sources and external APIs
·  Experience in Big Data processing using Apache Hadoop/Spark ecosystem applications like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka and HDFS preferable
·  Expert in SQL, in particular on a large volume of data (query optimization);
·  Experience developing data pipelines using Alicloud, AWS, or Azur
