MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Business Planner (BP), reporting into the Merchandising Manager, is responsible for all reporting and analysis of the category with a key mission to challenge and drive the category’s performance through insight-driven analyses. The BP will need to define and pilot new ways to analyze the business and also define new key reporting tools. While, the BP is responsible for key operational activities related to the overall planning of the business, the BP is also responsible for defining new ad hoc analyses and piloting transversal projects to develop the category. The BP works closely with Markets, Marketing and Operations and transversally with other central teams (VM, Store Design, Client Marketing, …) with regular interaction with Executives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  OPERATIONAL BUSINESS PLANNING

 

· 
·  Sales Plan:
·  Pilot the Sales Planning process to define commercial targets by Market
·  Run the process with Markets (consolidation) and collaborate with SC & Finance
·  Check alignment of monthly forecasts with overall LG budget (in €)
·  Novelty Forecasts:
·  Oversee market order process for new collections
·  Top-check with Budget, LE, and with Sales Plan
·  Collect qualitative market feedback on collection
·  Roll-up summary of market feedback to be reviewed at a Global level
·  Partnering with Marketing and Operations, prepare the monthly revision of forecasts for novelties, used to plan production
·  Range Planning:
·  Define target (parameters): target mix of sales, ASP, ST targets, target sales depth
·  Calculate Range Plan per boutique LG typology

 

·  SALES PERFOMANCE

 

· 
·  Develop KPIs
·  Build, harmonize and simplify reporting (monthly, semestrial, …)
·  Stock / supply
·  Business / product performance

 

· 
·  Sales Follow-up and results / performance analysis:
·  Provide business analysis (sales performance analysis, results, product performance….), quantitative / qualitative
·  New Collections follow-up
·  Global business mix by market, gender, and product categories, etc.
·  Elaborate, comment and communicate insight-driven monthly reporting of activities

 

 

·  STRATEGIC MISSIONS

 

· 
·  Ad Hoc Strategic Analyses
·  Responsible for Business Reporting for executive meetings (EXCO, SPCC, etc.)
·  Transversal Projects
·  Partnering with transversal teams, pilot and manage new initiatives to support category development
·  Build Strategic Planning tools
·  Define new reports to analyse performance and provide insight-driven recommendations to markets on the category’s development
·  Partnering with transversal teams, propose and pilot new tools to support the Business Planning function, including but not limited to:
·  Buying Tool (Anaplan)
·  Boutique Clustering
·  Sales Targets x Market
·  Model Stock Reporting
·  Profitability Dynamics

 

PROFILE

 

Master’s degree

Prior experience in analytics, preferably some experience in a Luxury Maison

 

Technical skills / abilities:

·  Full proficiency in excel and PowerPoint. BI knowledge a definite plus.
·  Fluent in French and English

·  Highly analytical and insight-driven
·  High interpersonal skills and teamwork skills: dynamic team spirit to coordinate with other departments.
·  Detail oriented, with high organizational skills.
·  Ability to communicate and interact with senior executives

·  Knowledge of markets (WW, nationalities) a plus
·  Knowledge of products with sensibility in luxury context
