Graduate Technology Technology Risk Reading 2020
Job Description

Graduate programme
Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

Technology
We recognise that to bring value to our clients, we need to provide the best advice around technological innovation. With us, you’ll be at the forefront of new initiatives and explore emerging technologies and trends to help our clients unlock their potential, protect their businesses, provide insight and help steer strategy.

Technology Risk
Technology impacts every aspect of our lives. From the way schools and universities educate, how we interact socially, how we store information, how we shop, to how businesses operate; Technology drives almost every aspect of the way the modern world operates.

Managing Technology Risk, establishing confidence and integrity in the technologies that enable businesses to operate is vital, especially in the digital world. Leaders of organisations need to have trust that they are using their technology effectively to trust and rely upon it as they run their businesses. And they need to know how they secure their systems and data from error, failure or attack to make sure their businesses can keep working effectively in a 24/7 world. Without trust, customers may not want to hand over their details to buy from you; and suppliers are less likely to supply goods and services to you. We help our clients build trust in their technology, to have the confidence to rely on it as part of the modern global and digital business landscape.

We work with our clients to create a technology strategy that is fit for the digital age. And, we then help them implement systems, processes and controls that strengthen their IT resilience to support how technology enables effective business operations.

What you'll do
You will be working to help organisations manage the risks and opportunities associated with their technology. This covers all aspects of technology, including
·  Advising on how to set an IT strategy fit for their business in the digital world
·  Reviewing and improving how projects and transformations are delivered
·  Assuring how IT systems are controlled and optimised
·  Advising how to make IT organisations more effective
·  Helping clients understand the opportunities from emerging technology.
You’ll have opportunities to work across industry sectors and across the UK to provide IT assurance and advice to clients on their IT risks. This could be as part of a project team implementing a new business system, or providing advice to IT and business leaders on the processes and controls that can build trust in their technology.

What you’ll need
You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1. degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1. based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study. The subject of your degree is not important; however, you'll need to demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it.
