Description

Do you love working with 3-D printing? Are you passionate about translating general concepts and ideas into working prototypes? We are looking for someone with these skills to join our growing Innovation Center Engineering team.

The Research and Development Division (R&D) is responsible for inventing and crafting for market breakthrough product, process, raw materials and packaging technologies, which provide delightful and winning brand experiences to our consumers around the world.

Your role will involve collaborating with project teams to support the design, assembly and fabrication of a broad range of custom R&D prototypes and equipment. We use 3D design software (Inventor) to translate R&D researcher concepts into models and drawings that will be utilized for fabrication and assembly. You will utilize traditional machining equipment (lathes, mills, wire EDM, drills), automated CNC machines and 3D printers to fabricate parts for prototypes. You will prepare a parts list and bill of materials of required materials. We would love to find someone with strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills in order to collaborate across multi-functional teams.

Qualifications

We believe you would be an excellent fit here, if you have:

·  An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology- Design (METD), or Mechanical Engineering Technology- Manufacturing Management (METM). We will also accept a high school diploma/GED with relevant experience.
·  The ability to learn on the job in a dynamic and fast paced organization
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel...)
·  A strong attention to detail and a safety mindset

The duration of our internships/co-op's is 10 to 12 weeks. As a co-op, you'll receive a co-op allowance. We consider Intern/Co-Op sessions to be temporary employment, with a predicted ending point. No full-time employment commitments are guaranteed. However, depending on satisfactory completion of certain criteria, you may be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.
