People Systems – Integrations Technical Support Analyst 

Purpose of role:
Provide 1st and 2nd level support and on-going maintenance of the critical HR data streams and integrations to support Primark business users.

About the Role:
Join the core team responsible for supporting and developing key HR data flows within the Primark organisation! Our primary function is in support of existing systems and integrations; tracking and fulfilling critical operational metrics alongside error handling and resolution.

Once you have proven yourself in operations support you will be invited to work alongside experienced colleagues across all aspects of the software development cycle on a diverse technology stack; you will get the chance to own new developments end-to-end from initial scoping of business requirements right through development into test and final deployment.

Aside from production support and change management, you will be given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of activities such as data extraction, integration, scripting, automation and reporting.

This role provides ample scope for self-starters from an operational support background who have an interest in technology and development to contribute to the on-going Primark People Systems evolution while simultaneously growing their you own skills on a technically focused career path within a dynamic and rewarding operations environment.

Key Responsibilities:
·  Provide support for multiple integrations that support differing people systems to multiple regions - accurately and thoroughly record and document into MyServiceDesk Incident tracking system.
·  Monitor interfaces on an on-going basis for quality and issues - Follow standard Service Desk procedures to document the reported issue/question within a Service Desk call tracking tool
·  Monitor data quality - resolve any data quality issues and put in place corrective measures
·  Perform problem analysis and troubleshooting to resolve incidents within service level agreements and agreed upon metrics.
·  Utilise test systems to test solutions, validate resolutions before making changes to live production environments – following the JIRA change management process and authorisation routing.
·  Assisting in testing interfaces during system release cycles
·  Effectively communicate with customers and system end users for further information related to their ticket, managing expectations on progress and expected resolution.
·  Communicate and escalate technical issues that cannot be resolved to third level integrations support team – working with them to understand the issue and potential solution.
·  Determine priority of ticket management based on problem information and documented guidelines
·  Provide training and other general support to other team members.
·  Develop, maintain and localise relevant documentation (eg SOPs, job aids and FAQs) relating to people systems integrations.
·  Understand, follow and advocate all Primark security and data privacy policies
·  Ensure Primark's technical needs are represented to external service providers Essential requirements:
·  Fluent English speaker educated with a qualification in computing science/ systems or equivalent industry experience
·  Strong awareness of processes around change management, ticketing, testing and operation support metrics and responsibilities
·  Understanding of and practical experience with key technical pillars such as file formats, data transfer protocols like FTP and APIs, web services, integration concepts and engines
·  Practical and effective problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to translate requirements and process logic into actionable code and functional requirements Nice to have requirements:
·  One or more European language skills would be an advantage
·  A background in operations and systems support within a regulated industry such as insurance, finance or on systems such as payroll a distinct plus
·  Good knowledge of  XML and XSLT transformations alongside other general web based technologies such as html, JavaScript/ jQuery, SQL and general database knowledge a plus
·  A background with programming language skills (Java or C) alongside scripting experience (e.g. PHP/ASP/C#/PYTHON or similar) would be a distinct advantage
·  Direct experience scheduling, running, debugging, error trapping on data flows within a regulated industry production environment on tight SLAs a significant advantage
·  Experience with a cloud based ERP system a plus, any direct experience with Workday desirable The Ideal candidate will have:
·  A pro-active “can do” approach along with good accuracy, focus and attention to detail
·  Strong communication skills - including excellent interpersonal , customer facing skills
·  Well-developed planning and organisation skills including the ability to plan and prioritise their work schedule according to given priorities and to deliver work within agreed timescales
·  A procedure driven work methodology and the ability to work using their own initiative, completing assigned tasks on schedule without being micromanaged
·  A strong interest in investigating new technologies and skills
