Data Administrator (Oracle Retail) – 9 month FTC

Role Overview
The Data Administrator will support the management of data cleansing, migration and validation activities within the work stream.
The role will be working closely with the Business Data Lead to ensure the review and approval of foundation data, item validation happen within tight timelines enabling the data migration activities to complete. The role will also focus on supporting data tracking and adherence to defined business roles and standards.

Responsibilities
·  Familiarization with data migration and cleansing design work undertaken by the systems integrator
·  Work closely with the Business Data Migration lead to shape the data activities requiring business involvement.
·  Assist the Business Data Lead with the preparation of data for migration rehearsals, UAT/Go live Prep
·  Complete the outstanding/new Data cleansing activities.
·  Using a combination of Excel, Alteryx and Tableau to prove data reconciles from legacy to new systems.
·  Provide timely updates in Data Validation in line with validation tracker.
·  Check rules used to eliminate ‘Dirty’ data have worked successfully.
·  Ensure we are using the most up-to-date data that is in-line with future business processes.
·  Assist in the preparation of data for business sign off in line with the Data Governance processes.
·  Assist in the definition of rules for deployment approach/training to ensure data consistency and system synchronization.
·  Provide input into weekly management level status updates.
·  Work with Data migration lead/testing teams to ensure data migrated is suitable for all testing phases. Essential knowledge, skills and experience
·  Exposure to data in business operations or analytical roles; appreciation of the importance of
·  data.            .
·  Previous experience of transformation projects within a retail organization, preferable.
·  Track record of a successful delivery under tight timelines.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with broad stakeholder groups.
·  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to priorities and manage multiple tasks.
·  Working knowledge of Alteryx and a good understanding of Tableau
·  Advanced Excel skills, including working with PowerPivot
·  Detail oriented, with well-developed analytical skills
