The Southern Region Distribution Centre (SRDC) is our largest distribution site in the UK. Working closely with our manufacturing and supply chain teams we distribute the majority of our own products, and this is all made possible by the SRDC. If we’re not operating efficiently then our customers won’t find our great products on the supermarket shelves…which is definitely not good for business!

Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities
·  Responsibility for Warehouse providing operational direction for all on shift FLE’s and support staff within agreed framework.
·  Balance competing priorities of day to day service execution with the deployment of the logistics strategy and annual priorities as directed by the Shift Operations Manager.
·  Responsibility for delivery of a balanced scorecard across Cost, Service, Safety, People.
·  Support the delivery on shift of
·  Drive network execution error
·  Responsible for Warehouse Resource Planning and Execution to deliver business needs inclusive of Job Rotation, Warehouse Shunting, Off shift activities, Agency provision.
·  Management of the Annualised hour’s system for direct reports to ensure contractual targets are achieved.
·  Control and monitoring of Shift Performance hour by hour inclusive of corrective action and financial reconciliation through Shift Reporting tools.
·  Analysis of KPI file service data inclusive of Failures, Warehouse Timeliness and Rates to develop improvement plans in support of the continuous improvement program.
·  Ensure close liaison with key stakeholders including Transport, Warehouse Techs, Engineers and Yard Control to remove any blockers to delivery of service e.g. trailer availability.
·  Responsible for all on shift activities inclusive of Basic RTW’s, Walk and Talks, Weather Management, Near Misses/Accident/Investigations (Low Risk) and Warehouse Operative queries.
·  Enforcement of standards with front line teams through low level Disciplinary’s and Performance Management discussions i.e. conduct, pick/load rate etc.
·  Monitor FLE compliance to ensure that all standards are maintained on shift i.e. hygiene, AIB, handover standards.
·  Responsibility for Absence Management and OH Referrals
·  Contribution to serious incident management i.e. Engineering breakdown, BIS Downtime, Fire Alarm etc.
·  Contribution to a defined people strategy inclusive of Team Briefs/comms to drive positive employee regard, strong front line capability and a KPI / continuous improvement.
·  Drive standardisation of procedures and processes for all Warehouse Team Leaders across each of the shift blocks
·  Responsibility for the compliance to, and the review and updating of, relevant GCS control documents.

Qualifications/Requirements

Essential:
·  Be an experienced Warehouse Team Leader from a retail/FMCG environment and be highly customer-focused.
·  Be able to demonstrate a sound operational background with an understanding of the business and the interaction between the broader logistics and supply chain functions.
·  Knowledge of standard PC applications i.e. Word, Excel.
·  Knowledge of specialized PC applications i.e. Yardsmart, IMI Warehouse, Qlikview, First Care.
·  Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced and complex operation.
·  Results-driven with a clear understanding of the link between action and results.
·  Conversant with Route cause Analysis tools to help drive performance improvement.
·  Experience in delivering coaching/training.
·  Understanding of Working Time Directive and Health and Safety at Work.
·  Collaborates well across departments with the ability to communicate effectively and influence others.
·  Flexible ‘can do’ attitude to role and duties.
