Here at PepsiCo, we have a 12 month undergraduate industrial placement opportunity in our Operations team based in Skelmersdale.

Skelmersdale plant is in the North-west of England and plays a key role in our UK end to end supply chain. The plant has been open for 14 years and employs over 600 front line colleagues producing iconic brands like Walkers Crisps, Baked crisps, Snack a Jacks and Monster Munch products. It boasts the accolade of being the fastest growing FMCG manufacturing site in an 18 month period EVER and even has it’s own wind turbine! We have a progressive culture on plant and can do attitude with great people driving the business every day for our customers – you’ll be a part of this team!!

What you’ll get up to:

·  Lead and own our 2020 plan to build our front line capability as part of a 3 year plan to drive future readiness.
·  Financial Control / Management
·  Project time-planning
·  Act as Interface (“on project” point of contact) for Skelmersdale with other UK PepsiCo plants.
·  Understanding our manufacturing processes and roles on plant so you are clear on what the curriculum build is for each job role.
·  Developing specific training material through our on plant team as well as working with other UK sites to transfer knowledge/capability build.
·  Working with our existing training resource on plant and centrally to execute the plan.

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

·  Following path to a degree level qualification – ideally Engineering, Business or closely related discipline.
·  Initiative and drive to deliver results and able to be pro-active and multi-task.
·  Passion for people and making things better!
·  Keen to gain experience of working in the Food Industry.
·  Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience.
·  Able to influence people and take people with you.
·  High degree of self-motivation combined with good organisational skills.
·  Confident to challenge where appropriate but willing to accept final decision is held by line manager.
·  Supportive team player with an accurate, methodical, tidy and reliable approach.
·  Good communication, verbal and written.
·  Computer-literate (Microsoft Office) What else do you need to know?

This 12 month placement starts in July 2020, with a salary of £17,500
