We're looking for undergraduate students with a can-do attitude who are curious to experience how a multinational company operates, to join our commercial team for 10 weeks in Summer 2020. No matter what your degree area, this is an exciting and unique opportunity to become a member of our sales team and make a real difference to the PepsiCo business. A tailored commercial training and induction, Head Office group challenge and networking with key PepsiCo employees from a number of different functions, including Marketing, Finance and HR, will stretch your ability and enhance your skills.

You’ll have an action packed induction week where you’ll be equipped with extensive company knowledge and sales techniques that’ll help you along your way. As you’ll be working independently for much of the time, you'll need to be self-motivated with great time management skills. We'll give you a small company car with all the marketing and sales tools you’ll need and support you all the way.

You’ll work independently for most of the internship; negotiating the deals and selling our amazing products to real customers. Once training is complete you’ll manage your own geographical area and visit local cafe’s or newsagents to increase the distribution of our products. You’ll also be rotated around other areas of the sales team completing individual and group tasks such as Ecommerce, Out of Home, Grocery and Marketing. This will be coupled with continued support and guidance from experienced PepsiCo employees in the form of mentors and buddies. You’ll enhance your commercial skills and business acumen throughout the internship and learn to analyze data, negotiate, build and maintain business relationships.

During your time spent at our Head Office in Reading, you’ll embark on a group challenge amongst other activities, network with other departments in the business and have the opportunity to hear about career journeys of some of our senior leaders. PepsiCo is known for developing top notch leaders and an inspiring place to work and his internship can be a fantastic start to a potential career with us. Many of our best summer sales interns have gone on to be offered a place on our well known Accelerated Career Programme upon graduation.

Location: They’ll be internships available in Reading, London and across the UK (you’ll be out based for half of the internship), and you’ll be given the option to state your preferred location further on in the application process.

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

- Full, UK Driving Licence (essential)
- 2 nd year/students in their penultimate year of study
- Independent and pro-active individuals who can work alone with minimal supervision
- Customer facing experience
- Exhibits a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges
- Demonstrates perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of goals
- Has a sense of passion, enjoyment and pride about their work
- Displays responsible and ethical behaviour towards customers, suppliers and others in the organisation
- Collaborates well with others to achieve results
- Takes the initiative to find ways to get better results
- Independent and pro-active individuals who can work alone with minimal supervision
- Quick learner and able to build relationships
- Basic computer/technology skills

What else do I need to know?

This is 10 week summer internship starting mid-June 2020, with a competitive salary of £330 per week. You’ll be given a car for your role that you’ll need to be comfortable driving, and also must have a full, UK driving licence.

Assessment centres will be likely held from December-February at our Head Offices in Reading, Berkshire so please take this into consideration when applying for the role.
