The Job
It is an exciting time for us and we continually strive to improve our business performance. Our Production Operatives (PO) are a huge part of our operation and work across every area of the plant undertaking a variety of crucial tasks to maintain our high standards.

We are looking to recruit a Production Operative to work with us, working a 24/7 continental shift pattern (days and nights).

You will be part of a busy team who are committed to the PepsiCo brand. In joining this team you will be supported in your role via a team of co-ordinators and you will be responsible for the performance of your zone using our LEAN Manufacturing framework.

Activities will include:
·  Ensuring excellent manufacturing practice through maintaining a Safe, Healthy and Hygienic work place. Working safely and improving safety through plant systems (Near Misses and Food Safety Near Misses)
·  Drive the plant key performance indicator (KPI) targets of cost, quality, service, hygiene and safety
·  Provide Operational Control in all aspects of running production equipment efficiently, escalating poor performance through the Tech and the PSP scheme
·  Monitor, control and carry out basic fault diagnosis and repairs on equipment
·  Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in and the plant in general. This includes good housekeeping and ensuring 5s / Lean standards are maintained
·  Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutionsfor continuous improvement (CI) and implementation of solutions through the CI scheme
·  Operating using OEE data to improve cost, quality, efficiency and reducing waste
·  Carrying out a variety of physical manual handling tasks as instructed
