Job Description
·
Part of the R&D finance team supporting both the Beaumont Park and Cork R&D sites which have teams representing all R&D categories and have a complex system of cross charging budgets to or from other locations – Execute/Inform
·
Support the Europe Finance Manager with the preparation and submission of AOP and monthly rolling forecasts for all Europe and Cork based R&D teams – Execute/Inform
·
Communicate updated monthly forecasts to respective region finance leads in Corporate so that they can be included in their region submissions, meeting necessary deadlines – Execute/Inform
·
Support the monthly close process including review of prelims, calculation of accruals, booking journal entries, and reviewing payroll entries for accuracy – Execute/Decide
·
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations on Blackline in line with control requirements - Execute
·
Ensure accurate headcount and payroll reporting - Execute
·
Provide support and guidance to R&D teams in preparation of Capex requests, ensuring compliance with policy and calculating financials where necessary. Route for approval according to global R&D approval matrix – Consult/Inform
·
Ensure appropriate cost centre structure is maintained to facilitate global category reporting of actuals/plans/forecasts. Support project level tracking where feasible. - Execute
·
Support the annual tax credit claim submissions by providing all required back up financial information to the tax team – Consult/Execute
·
Various other accounting and administrative responsibilities across both sites including hierarchy changes, follow-up on open purchase orders, creation and maintenance of project codes and trouble-shooting systems/processes - Execute
Qualifications/Requirements

Strong finance knowledge and the ability to impart this to non-finance employees
·
Excellent organization and communication skills
·
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes.
·
Strong attention to detail, results-oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner
·
Ability to work remotely from line manager
·
Strong excel modelling skills
·
Identifying and making recommendations to solve budget gap issues
·
Identifying issues with reported numbers, finding actionable solutions
·
Identify inefficiencies in process, defining solution to improve and engage/align relevant stakeholders
·
Comfortable working in a matrix environment
·
Address gaps in finance knowledge amongst R&D teams
