PayFit simplifies payroll management and HR processes for SMBs. We have built a fast, intuitive and automated SaaS solution to help business owners and HR professionals save time and money allowing them to refocus and what really matters: their employees. Through PayFit, employees have a dedicated access for their payslips and are able to manage efficiently their leave and expense requests. To build such a solution, we have created our own programming language: JetLang. Thanks to JetLang we were able to code Labour Code and collective agreements, and today we continue to add new features.

We have set ourselves a mission to support the digital transformation of HR management through our ever growing range of product features and services. We have a strong presence in France since 2015 and have been quickly growing in Germany, Spain and the UK. More than 3000 companies such as Big Mamma, MinuteBuzz or Sellsy to name a few already trust us. Over 300 PayFiters have already joined the adventure and we have raised 95M€ to keep growing.

Your missions ⭐

PayFit is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that enhances our internal developer experience and contributes to the overall success of our products. Most importantly, you should specialize in developer-focused documentation and other highly technical deliverables. You will closely collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and product designer to create documentation and products that make developers more productive at PayFit. The ideal candidate has excellent communications skills and a passion for improving developer experiences through robust documentation.

Your mission will include:
•drive documentation planning with engineering teams,
•foster a documentation-minded culture among engineering teams and provide technical edits and direction to contributors,
•work as part of a team to produce conceptual, how-to, and API reference documentation for PayFit products,
•organize and audit the documentation library to keep information relevant over time,
•help promote company-wide knowledge sharing practices,
•identify gaps in documentation and work with engineering teams to resolve them!

• you have experience as a technical writer or information developer,
• experience with writing developer documentation,
• experience with the software development life cycle and Agile processes,
• good foundation in programming, API design, and software architecture,
• experience with source control and bug-tracking systems,
• experience using multiple documentation tools to write, format, manage, and publish high-quality content,
• working knowledge of HTML and CSS,
• ability to read and understand code samples in a variety of languages.

Bonus Points
• degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field highly desirable,
• ability to write example code in JavaScript,
• comfortable using the Mac Terminal,
• UX writing and research experience,
• experience working with static site generators like Jekyll.
