about the role

OTC is a bespoke in-house enterprise costing solution built using SQL Server Management Studio. OTC has a user base of over 1000 across finance and operational functions and is the primary tool for P&L analysis.

In this context, you will report to the Head of Core Costing and will be working in coordination with the BPA team, OTC champions and the wider business to do the following:

§  Take ownership of the different data perimeters of OTC. This includes managing the running, maintenance, updating and analysis of the OTC tool using SQL Server and related software.

§  Extract Transform and Load (ETL): Design and build ETL routines to load new data sources into the OTC environment.

§  Identify and build/ improve processes to ensure/enhance the production of the OTC outputs

§  Provide technical/analytical support to wider BPA team and OTC user community

about you

Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree (technical background)

Language: English : fluent – must have ; French : nice to have

Experience: SQL Server Management Studio (SSIS, SSMS, SSAS)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (including PowerQuery addin)

VBA for applications

As a Core Costing Technical analyst, your main mission will take place under two axes:

§  OTC Run: This is the execution of the OTC routines to produce monthly reporting. This whole processes uses a collection of tools including SQL Server Management Studio packages (SSAS, SSIS, SSMS), Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerQuery.

§  OTC Build: OTC is always evolving and therefore needs continued maintenance to ensure a high quality output. Through Change cycles and project work the role will require updating OTC to meet business requirements, including designing and building new tools/ processes in the aforementioned software packages.

Also, you will be involved in:

§  Providing support analysis for wider BPA team and OTC user community

§  Cost logic ownership, creating technical documents using Excel and PowerPoint. Gaining detailed insight into how different business units within OBS operate.

base salary from 1,600 € brutto per month., actual salary is likely to be higher based on skills, knowledge and experience.
