about the role

Purpose

This position is an individual contributor role who will provide technical expertise to manage several multi-tenant cloud platforms hosted in global datacenters and servicing many external customer related projects that Orange’s Cloud Business Offers mainly in the ASEAN/APAC region.  He/she will be the most technically qualified person in the PS  team. He/She will be responsible for owning and resolving the technical issues on the platform which comprises for multiple technologies including Public Cloud ( AWS/Azure) Hardware, Operating System, Virtualization, Storage and Backup.

 

He/She will have proven experience and expertise on public cloud automation technologies, public cloud orchestration tools and other related public cloud service on both AWS and Azure including but not limited to public cloud compute , storage, microservices, containers, kubernetes etc.

 

He/She will lead the building/expansion/migration of customers to cloud platform and on boarding of customer, and monitor the quality of service of the platform during the Run phase. The candidate must have deep hands-on experience in implementing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure virtualized platforms including storage and backup.  Candidates must be technically adept to do capacity planning and related decision making. Candidate should be skilled in technical analysis and have good verbal and written communication skill in order to manage global stakeholders.  

 

Missions and main activities

The main missions are:

 

·        Presales support and bid response on all APAC cloud customers

·        Premium Support for major OCB Customers: Provides assistance, support and advices on their solutions

·        Provide technical leadership in maintaining the multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.

·        Lead the cloud infrastructure platform upgrades and migrations

·        Manage all the aspects of cloud platforms (compute, storage and backup) from architectural and capacity perspective.

·        Troubleshoot Incidents/problems ( L3 support ) occurring on the platform and perform problem management

·        Identify technical service improvement areas and lead them to the closure with the help of operations team.

·        Validate bill of material for new cloud platform build

·        Available 24x7 on-call for critical issues.

·        He/she will be shared to one or more OCB Customers. He will be the customer referent for all his OCB Services.

 

Main activities

·        To lead the funded OCB project delivery  as a billable consulting resource and professional services architect

·        To develop detailed technical design which delivers customer requirements

·        To support the OCB Professional Services business development

·        To lead the improvement of services delivery capability and build best practices in complex service projects’ delivery

·        To manage vendor/supplier partnership

·        Support & Assist our Customers in their service usage (Best practices, configuration, Q&A, help/follow to the incident resolution)

·        Lead the crisis on the offers/customers to reduce impacts. This means to be available on 24x7 exceptionally.

about you

Skills/Experience/Qualification

 

Total minimum professional working experience of 12 -15 years.

 

Education and certifications:

Ø  Bachelors or above (preferable in engineering)

Ø  Certification:  VCP, ITIL-Intermediate, Cloud Certification ( Amazon Certfied Architect, Azure Certified Architect, Redhat certified )

Ø  TOGAF and ITIL certifications

 

 

Domain Experience:

 

Ø  Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing build/ operations of  services on AWS and Azure

Ø  Minimum 5 years experience on RDS, DynamoDB, SQL Server , NO SQL DBs , Apps servers and middleware management.

Ø  Experience in Virtualization ( VCP ), Linux/Windows system administration ( MCSE ),

Ø  Understanding of application, server, and network security is highly desired

Ø  Experience on Operating System, Active Directory/ LDAP administration, Minimum 5 years’ experience in performing platform migrations (V2V, P2V) including storage.

Ø  Experience in transitioning of virtualized platform from build to operations and providing early life support.

Ø  Experience in upgrading various components of virtualized platform at hardware and virtual layers.

Ø  Experience in on boarding new customers on virtualized platform

 

Ø  Experience working with TOGAF or Zachman frameworks

Ø  Good experience on ITIL Framework for service delivery and operations

Ø  Good knowledge on overall ICT services, with strong technical knowledge in large scale Enterprise private cloud

Ø  Broad ICT technology knowledge

Ø  Strong customer facing and communication skills

Ø  Rich experience of prepare low level design, present and deliver solutions to clients

Ø  Excellent diagnostics skills and good ability to resolve problems quickly

Ø  Strong communication and vendor management skills

 

Technical skills/Knowledge

·        Deep technical experience in ECS, EBS, AD Services, DNS services, Cloud Front, Cloud Formation, Lambda/ microservices, IAM ,LB,  security groups etc.

·        Deep technical experience on containerization, Kubernetes , Jira, Ansible, Dev Ops scripting , Github etc.

·        Deep technical knowledge of AWS/Azure/AliCloud services on public and hybrid cloud offers including orchestration and automation on cloud.

·        Deep technical experience in virtualization , VMware suite , vSphere vCenter , vCD, vRealize , P2V/V2V migrations tools like Platespin, Doubletake, Zerto

·        Public Cloud experience on AWS or Azure , certifications desirable ( MCP on Azure , AWS Professional )

·        Experience migrating from on-prem to public cloud on Amazon, Azure , Alicloud using tools like Zerto, Double Take, Hystax , etc.

·        Deep technical experience in migration from Windows OS/ Linux to Cloud based OS ( Cent OS , Ubuntu )

·        Must have a view of enterprise cloud components and how they integrate with each other.
