German Speaking 1st Line Support Engineer - Colchester, Essex

Job description

As a 1st Line IT Support Engineer with the MSX Global group, you will have the opportunity to work on our Ford account. Offering information and recommendations to licenced users, the 1st Line Support Engineer will have experience of providing a first class service to end users.



Day to day the 1st Line Support Engineer will be working as part of an established team to accept and attempt to resolve enquiries from licensed users of the diagnostic equipment i.e. Ford Dealers, IMT, Ford Approved Fleets in the UK, Germany and Austria.



This role is working Tuesday – Saturday in our Colchester Town Centre office



Your responsibilities:



Using a ticketing system to record data as required
Accept other assignments (responsibility for items of equipment, literature, Customer data systems, analysis, investigation etc.) as determined by the Management
Write and circulate data to other Helpdesk Engineer and Management
Escalate cases to the OEM for review
Liaise with Team Leader(s) / Project Management on Case Histories, trends and analysis




Your profile:



A formal IT qualification would be desirable, e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or other recognised IT qualification would be considered
Competent German language skills both written and oral essential
Confident with MS Office, in particular MS Word and Excel
Experience of operating systems, Windows 10
Confident in software concern resolution and computers in general
Experience within a customer support role, or similar position
Experience of vehicle workshops and use of diagnostic equipment in that environment would be advantageous; however not essential
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal







Working pattern and location:



40 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday
Based at The Octagon, Colchester.

Salary up to £27,500 per annum,  based on experience
