The primary purpose of this position is to initiate analysis and develop financial strategy for a rapidly growing retail business across multiple classifications. To manage and be responsible for multiple departments to ensure the maximising of commercial opportunities.
To manage a multi tiered team, to appraise and to develop personnel.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·  To set & manage financial targets by dept & category
·  Update & manage monthly OTB
·  Work thru WSSIs to identify opportunity in sales & to minimize risk
·  Create reports/recaps of the business, develop financial plans and monitor the performance of sales, inventory, markdowns and profit by classification from a top-line to store level
·  Work closely with the buying team to analyze seasonal merchandise assortments and execute merchandising strategies in line with OTB
·  Expected to product regular & ad hoc analysis based on ROS, densities as well as sales and cover and present these findings to senior management
·  Initiate and create analysis to recap business by classification and style at a top-line as well as store level in order to partner with buying team to create actionable strategies to drive sales and achieve gross margin profitability
·  Recommend buys based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market to achieve increased sales, profitability and sell-thru %
·  Assist in creating seasonal, monthly and weekly plans for sales, inventory, markdowns and gross margin.  Partner with Retail team to develop financial strategies and monitor performance in order to achieve plans
·  Work with buying team and stores to analyze business by door to maximize sales and stock opportunities.  Monitor flow of initial assortments as well as reorders to stores by classification and by style
·  Recap key item rankings by classification, style, color and size.  Create best seller reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
·  Produce & analyze weekly reports recapping sales, inventory and gross margin vs. plan and projection by classification, style and door
·  Work with all departments in Retail Corp to ensure New Store Openings are managed effectively, thru building financial plans & opening stock assortments
·  To build & develop a highly motivated & results driven team
·  Develop robust Exit strategies for OLD stock

Job Requirements:

·  Must previous experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning and/or allocation
·  Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
·  Computer Literate – Advanced Excel Skills
·  Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
·  Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment
·  Handbag/Accessories or  Ready-to-wear background preferred
·  Experience in large high street retailers also preferred
·  Strong analytical skills, creative problem solving skills and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment are a must, candidates must be dynamic & resilient and happy to do business at fast pace
