Join the dynamic copy team at Michael Kors! We’re in search of a junior copywriter with a passion for our brand who can see editorial projects from beginning to end. In this role, you’ll write romance copy for the Michael Kors website to support 360-degree campaigns, business needs and brand vision. Must be able to reinforce luxury brand voice through tone, style, story and content. Requires partnership with Merchants, Marketing, Fashion, Creative, Legal and Social teams to ensure strategic, consistent on-brand storytelling. Reports to Editorial Director.

Responsibilities

·  Maintain the Michael Kors voice while writing for all mediums: MichaelKors.com, daily marketing emails, CRM and outlet initiatives and Michael’s World
·  Bring seasonal merchandise to life by writing and editing thoughtful fashion copy across landing pages, online shopping grids, and email marketing
·  Write engaging subject lines, headlines and sub-copy for weekly marketing emails
·  Work closely with the Editorial Director to ideate and execute dynamic stories for Michael’s World, developing trend reports and covering fashion/accessory trends, travel content, brand news and events
·  Work with editorial team to brainstorm creative sale messaging and write sale copy across site and emails
·  Write ad hoc copy for promotion emails and materials for in-store events and promotions
·  Devise sophisticated creative solutions to translate Merchandising, Marketing and Social Media initiatives
·  Understand the editorial calendar and work with Project Management to ensure deadlines are met and edits are executed for final approval
·  Own process of creating and editing the site’s fashion copy from briefing to QA testing
·  Contribute on-brand ideas at editorial and cross-functional meetings
·  Research existing and emerging commerce sites and blogs using editorial content in innovative ways

Qualifications and Traits

·  Excellent communication and writing skills, proofreading skills, and attention to detail
·  Ability to write copy using a creative approach and with an attention to business objectives
·  Passionate and knowledgeable about fashion and trends
·  Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple projects and readjust priorities in order to meet deadlines
·  Ability to identify solutions and resolve issues
·  Ability to work under deadline pressure
·  A team player with a positive attitude, who is energized by challenges and excited to partner with colleagues across the creative team
·  Bachelor's Degree required. B.S. or B.A. in Journalism, English or Creative Writing preferred
·  Proficiency in InCopy a plus
