Technical Support Service Officer

The Technical Service Support Officer’s primary role is to provide superior internal and external customer service and support. They will assist with enquiries related to the use and application of company products and services. They will ensure trustworthy problem resolution, enhanced by building internal and external relationships using the phone and email as core communication tools.

 

Your Role:

·  Draw on your knowledge and skills and use the company’s varied resources and tools to provide excellent technical support to internal and external customers i.e. Assist customers with product queries and applications troubleshooting including assisting with product selection decisions
·  Provide a timely response to customer enquiries
·  Answer / liaise with global partners over technical issues raised via the customer directly, Account Managers or Customer Service via SAP, Trackwise and QCC databases.
·  Enter and maintain all enquiries and records in database.
·  Promote current and new products & services as required and/or as the opportunity arises
·  Assist in any Customer Excellence related tasks or projects as required
·  Assist in the preparation of Tenders and quotations in collaboration with the requisite stakeholders.
·  Participate in ongoing learning programs to ensure your technical and applications knowledge is current and aligned with the company’s focus and priorities

 
Who You Are:

·  Degree in Science or equivalent
·  Minimum 2 years experience in scientific research or scientific laboratory roles. Experience in Analytical Chemistry, Material Sciences, Chemical Synthesis and Chromatography preferred.
·  Working knowledge of scientific processes and products.
·  Good interpersonal and effective communication skills
·  Working knowledge of Scala, SAP and/or salesforce.com would be an advantage.
·  Must be service oriented with a positive attitude.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
