Packaging Supervisor 3rd Shift

Your role:

 

As the Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of supervising, traning and developing the packaging employees/team.  The work schedule will be Sunday - Wednesday, 8p - 6:30a.

 

·  Monitor and maintain a safe and clean work environment through housekeeping and safety policy administration. Coaching all employees on safety and its importance
·  Provide guidance and direction to the packaging personnel
·  Ensure all employees follow the standard operational and working practices
·  Adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet customer requirements 
·  Communicate clear expectations monitoring employee work performance relative to expectations
·  Accomplish manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
·  Has Immediate coaching responsibility for seeing that products are produced to Quality Standards
·  Maintain constant improvements in packaging quality products, reducing costs, and following good manufacturing practices (GMP)
·  Create SOP’s for Receiving, Packaging, Shipping, and Warehousing to meet GMP standards/requirements
·  Ensure hourly associates are properly trained regarding job responsibilities
·  Create maintenance workorders when necessary
·  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
·  Manages employee performance and skills development, conducts performance appraisals, and administers disciplinary action, including employment terminations when necessary
·  Review nonconformances with the objective of taking action to eliminate future occurrences
·  Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
·  Write routine reports and correspondence

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED, etc.)
·  4+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment
·  2+ years supervisory experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Intermediate personal computer skills including Microsoft Office
·  SAP experience
·  Ability to effectively supervise line employees
·  Strong communication and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment
·  Good training skills
·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team with little direction
·  Ability to cover other shifts during vacations/absences
·  Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities
·  Effective judgement and decision-making abilities
·  Effective troubleshooting skills
·  Ability to multitask
