R&D Technician

Your Role:  

At MilliporeSigma the R&D technician works within the filtration applications team. Under the direction of a development engineer, the individual will perform a variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and/or experiments.  Duties will include media preparation, equipment set up, performing filtration tests, performing analytical tests, documenting tests in a laboratory notebook, planning experiments, and reporting results.  Additional duties include maintaining laboratory equipment and writing experimental reports, summaries, and protocols.  Some preliminary data analysis and results organization will also be required. All Health & Safety procedures should be respected and followed.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  High School diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of laboratory experience minimum requirement

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or other related Science discipline with 3+ years of laboratory experience
·  Experience with biopharmaceutical separations including normal flow filtration, tangential flow filtration and adsorptive media processes is a plus. 
·  The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. 
·  Mechanical/electrical aptitude
·  Demonstrated documentation and computer skills
·  Proven organization and multitasking skills
